I have for sale this impressive Chinese page turner with mounted with hallmarked silver. The piece has the most beautiful natural grain. The silver is hallmarked for English sterling silver. Was assayed in Sheffield with the date letter for 1894 and the makers mark J R. The piece measures 33cm/13" in length and has a total weight of 119Grams approx. The piece is in very good condition with a shrinkage hairline on the handle which quite normal for this type of natural material. There are also a few miner bumps and blemishes but none of the above spoils the look or use. This is a striking piece to grace any desk. Please contact me with any questions you may have. Very large Antique fan made of ox bone with a delicate silk material.crepe like. Possibly silk. Decorated cut out sticks as shown and held together firmly at the base with a metal clasp and ring. Measures 13.75" long.35 cm. And opened. The fan measures approx 26"66 cm. There is some damage to the ox bone sticks: One stick is snapped but both parts are there. For repair. The top piece is missing.fifth from the right and fourth from the right.damaged as shown for re gluing. The material is mainly fine but with some pink marks as shown and appears to be hand stitched. Lovely Antique Victorian Chinese Cow Bone Brushes, Mirror & Letter Opener - VGC
For auction is this lovely group of antique Victorian Chinese cow bone dressing brushes. Mirror, glove stretchers and letter opener. All are in excellent undamaged condition. They are all a lovely creamy colour with nice graining. The mirror and letter opener have the same monogram and one of the rectangular brushes has a London maker stamp to one end. There are just a couple of very small cracks to the end of one brush and one to the front of the mirror and the mirror looks to have had its glass glued back in at some time. see pics) The gross weight for these is 545grams. The mirror measures 26cm long by 11cm wide by 1cm thick. Two brushes each measure 15cm long by 3cm wide. The bone section of these is 0.5cm thick. The other brush measures 16cm long by 3.5cm wide and the bone section is nearly 1cm thick. All the bristles are in very good ... morecondition with no losses. Possibly a hetian jade gourd, which the seller said his father actually bought in China and then added to the chain. It is attached to the ring which also holds the T bar. This beautiful piece approximately weighs 33.2 grams and measures 12" long including the jade piece which measures approx ... more1 1/2" long. The seller said it was a gold filled piece but. I can find no marks on the chain, clip or t-bar so I'm not certain if it truly is. It is signed and hallmarked on the clip. It's marked WHB& CO. RARE Antique Victorian Set 6- Chinese Carved Noble Cow Bone- Napkin Ring 150g PLEASE VIEW ALL 11 PHOTOS I HAVE PROVIDED. A rare set of antique late 19th century Chinese carved cow bone& silver napkin rings. The cased set of napkin rings date to the late Victorian period around 1870- 1890. The napkin rings are very good quality and well carved and are very heavy. This noble carved material is very rare and special- Please see close up photos of the grain. Each napkin ring has a solid silver monogram letter except one napkin ring which has a letter missing. All the napkin rings are exactly the same but some are slightly thicker- see photos. The napkin rings come in there original Victorian case which has a nice blue velvet lining. The lock and hinge on the case are both in good working condition and the lock snaps shut and works well. Overall ... morethey are all in superb condition with no chips or cracks. Each napkin ring measures- 4.7 cm wide x 3 cm in height- Total weight 191.7 grams.
