Auction for a Red Chasuble with Stole and Maniple. It is not a perfect match. The stole and maniple were matched as closely as possible to the Chasuble. The Chasuble is actually. As I understand, a US Navy Chaplain Chasuble. It is reversible(Red/Violet) however the violet side has significant sun damage. The color is faded but the fiber of the fabric is not compromised. Offered for auction is a chasuble with matching stole. Veil and maniple. This chasuble is part of a set– please see my other listing for the other matching items(cope, dalmatic, etc. This set consists of red and blue'velvet' or similar material- sorry. Not an expert in this) on a base red damask fabric(the camera light makes it appear orange in places but it is red) The ophreys of blue have been overlaid with gold cutwork with several rhinestones along the cutwork length to highlight the details. The effect is very rich. It is offered for auction with no reserve. The low starting price and Buy-It-Now is because the item needs to be sold. It has barely any wear.
