There is a thin silver horizontal stripe near the bottom of each panel. The neck is mitered for proper fit. The maker's tag reads.Gail Byrd Vestments 8241 Pomona Dr. Arvada, CO. 80005" The stole is 51 inches long from neck seam to each end and 4.5 inches wide. It is appropriate for any liturgy. Simple, Elegant Red Priest's Preaching Stole With Descending Dove - Pentecost
Simple but elegant priest's red preaching stole with a large blue and white descending dove on each panel. There is a metallic gold stripe near the bottom of each panel. It is a red woven material with red satin lining. The neck is mitered and contoured for proper fit. The stole is 54 inches long from neck to each end. Almost 5 inches wide at the end. It is appropriate for the Liturgy during Pentecost, Confirmation and martyr's feast days. The stole is in very good condition ready to wear. Magnificent Antique 19thC Priest's Stole ~Reversible Gold/Purple~ Superb Tassels. This is a magnificent and very beautiful antique 19thC French stole. It is completely reversible. One side is silk cloth of gold. With elaborate raised goldwork motifs. The other side is soft purple silk. Embroidered in silks and decorated with silver sequins. The edges of the stole are joined by a metallic gold cord. With two superb metallic tassels which have bullion fringes with thickly coiled wire'caterpillars' The bullion fringe at the bottom of the stole also has these'caterpillars' The gold side of the stole is edged with metallic trim. The purple side is edged with a cream silk trim. There is some wear to be found on the gold side. Which is not apparent until you look hard. Estate Catholic Priest Stole- Lavender and White- Fine Embroidered Gold Crosses
I purchased this at the estate sale of an elderly priest. He had been in Rome for a few years and I purchased a few items he had from there including a couple of beautiful rosaries. This stole is a light ivory white on one side and a beautiful lavender purple on the other. It looks more blue in my photos and I don't know why: It is purple. Not blue. The crosses are stitched on with great care- on both sides(the purple and the ivory side) with golden thread which matches the gold trim. The entire stole is about 72 inches in length.
