Found this great condition RJ Toomey Comfort knit shirt 16.5-34 shirt at a small Catholic Church relief thrift store in Hanover. Pa. Asked the ladies about the shirt source. They said it was apart of a box of donations from a from a now retired church father. He wanted his extra church vestments to go towards raising money for the church relief. He was said to have made numerous trips to central America which explains the material of the shirt. The make of the material is polyester and must have provided good comfortable wear in very hot humid climates. Shirt is is very good condition no noted damage found. Years of wear remain. It is in good condition considering its age. Because of its age. The cotton/linen top of the alb did not wear as well as the lace. The material of the top of the alb is cotton/linen. At the chest area of the alb is an area that was patched. See Photo) This area will not show when worn under a vestment. The bottom of the alb is composed of 31" long of lace. The lace is in remarkable condition with two very small snagged holes. At the very bottom of the lace is a small area of discoloration which will probably clear when washed. See Photo) The width across the chest from arm pit to arm pit is 34" This Alb is put on"over the head" or"step into" ... morethe vestment. The collar is 1" high and has a circumference of 21" with ties to secure the alb. The opening on the front of the alb is 17" long. This Black Cassock by Gaspard is in excellent condition. It looks like it was hardly worn. The only area that shows it was worn is at the bottom hem. There are no tears. Wax stains or rips. The material seems to be a strong, durable polyester. It is washable as the tag states. Length from the collar seam to the bottom hem is 57" The stand-up collar is 1.25" wide. The cassock has one center pleat on the back and two slit openings to the pant pockets. The circumference of the collar is 15" with a 1" opening.
