The width at the widest section of the chasuble across the chest is 66" The neck opening width is 11" The entire chasuble is hemmed. See Photo) There are no rips. Spots or tears on the vestment. The green stole that accompanies the chasuble is 61" long from the center and 3" 4" wide. There is a 2" x 2" gold stitched cross at the center of the stole. Antique Green Vestment Chasuble (w/ stole, maniple, burse, chalice veil)
Offered for auction is an antique green Roman chasuble set from a vestment collection with chasuble. Stole, maniple,and burse. It needs to be sold quickly hence the low price for the Buy-It-Now. Overall condition is good antique(see below, and pics) The embroidery is blue and that gives the overall color but the base fabric when you look at it is green. The ophreys are beautifully embroidered. Label indicates that it was made in France. Apologies for the poor quality of the photos. And please feel free to ask for more or any other details. Please note the following before bidding or buying this item: 1) The INNER lining of the back of the chasuble is faded– some minor fading can also be seen along the outer bottom of the back of the vestment as well(it appears a little silvery in the second photo- this is NOT the band that appears across ... morethe vestment in the first photo. Which is due to the light) Please look well at the photos. 2) There is very minor damage around the cross on the burse– it is noticeable if one looks closely. I have not tried to clean it for fear of damaging the vestment. But my guess it is that it could be. 3) The"tapes"ribbons to fasten the chasuble around the waist. And the maniple around the arm are old and probably need replacing.
