It needs to be sold quickly ... morehence the low price for the Buy-It-Now. Overall condition is good antique(see below, and pics) The embroidery is blue and that gives the overall color but the base fabric when you look at it is green. The ophreys are beautifully embroidered. Label indicates that it was made in France. Apologies for the poor quality of the photos. And please feel free to ask for more or any other details. Please note the following before bidding or buying this item: 1) The INNER lining of the back of the chasuble is faded– some minor fading can also be seen along the outer bottom of the back of the vestment as well(it appears a little silvery in the second photo- this is NOT the band that appears across the vestment in the first photo. Which is due to the light) Please look well at the photos. 2) There is very minor damage around the cross on the burse– it is noticeable if one looks closely. I have not tried to clean it for fear of damaging the vestment. But my guess it is that it could be. 3) The"tapes"ribbons to fasten the chasuble around the waist. And the maniple around the arm are old and probably need replacing. I have other vestments from the collection which are being offered- please look at my listings in the upcoming week if you are interested. Combined shipping is offered. Antique Green Vestment Chasuble (w/ stole, maniple, burse, chalice veil)
Offered for auction is an antique green Roman chasuble set from a vestment collection with chasuble. Stole, maniple,and burse. It needs to be sold quickly hence the low price for the Buy-It-Now. Overall condition is good antique(see below, and pics) The embroidery is blue and that gives the overall color but the base fabric when you look at it is green. The ophreys are beautifully embroidered. Label indicates that it was made in France. Apologies for the poor quality of the photos. And please feel free to ask for more or any other details. Good Antique Velvet Chasuble with Raised Silverwork Embroidery + Stole. This antique chasuble and stole are made of black silk velvet. And decorated with some superb raised silverwork embroidery and lavish metallic silver galons. Condition: There are two small white wax splashes on the velvet front of the chasuble. And the fringe on the stole is a bit thin in places. The lining of the chasuble has a few small worn areas. Otherwise the items look really lovely, the silverwork embroidery is very impressive. From the back of the neck to the hem. The chasuble measures 42 inches(105 cm) The stole is 8 inches(20 cm) at its widest.
