Very simple form with hand turning mortise and dowel joinery. Sturdy stretcher base. Light weight and sturdy as is typical with these old New England Chairs. This chairs stands 35" high and is 19" wide by 16" in depth with the seat sitting high at 17.5" from the ground. Nice early pre industrial chair that is all hand crafted. It come from an estate of a woman who was shaker collector from the mid 1800's and early 1900's. I have quite a few other early 19th century chairs selling on our other listings. Chair is listed for pick up only. If you want to hire a shipper to pick it up that is fine also. I am not able to package it for shipment. Condition: Used Location: Chicago, United States I don't know much about this very unique old english sheepdog but I'll do my best to describe him. He stands about 8" tall and is about 10" ... morefrom nose to rump. He appears to be made from some type of clay with a glazed surface. The glaze shows extensive crazing or cracks throughout although I can not be sure whether the crazing is a result of time or a deliberate finish. He appears to be hand made and is most likely one of a kind. He has old felt on the bottom of his feet. I have not found a makers mark or signature on him anywhere. I have searched the internet and have not found a picture of any similar items. The artist who made him really captured the unique shape and expression of an old english sheepdog. Very cute guy!
