This wonderful primitive milking stool was discovered in an old barn just this past summer in North East Wisconsin covered in lots of dirt. And probably old cow manure. I think I did a pretty good job of cleaning it up and saving as much original green paint as possible. One of the legs cracked in half and I did glue it as shown in photo it just to let you know. The legs are loose in each hole but secure that they will not come out. They could be trimmed on the ends to set more level if wanted. It is full of old worm holes probably dating back to the late 1800s as it takes a long time to get like this. I would sand it lightly ... moreand refinish with Danish oil or something to your liking. UHL Stool This vintage UHL stool dates from 1940-1950. The stool adjusts up and down and adjustment works perfectly(height of seat from 16 1/2" to 24" When the seat is set in it's lowest position the top of the backrest is 30" high. The original seat and back have been refinished to a rich dark walnut with a satin lacquer clear coat. The seat measures 16" wide and 14" deep. The backrest measures 13 1/2" wide and 6" high. Both are 3/8" thick. The seat swivels freely. The foot rest ring is 20 1/4" in diameter which is more desirable than the standard 16" The chair was completely dismantled and sandblasted by a professional. Primitive antique foot stool wooden bench 2 layers of vintage textile cover
Cutest little footstool! All wood with chippy paint and a cloth-covered top with two layers of textiles that appear to be original. The seat pad is detached. See the pictures for the best description of the fabric- its a dusty rose color with a woven floral pattern, feels like a cotton texture and there are no rips but it shows its age. There is another layer of fabric underneath this covering but I did not remove the top cover to investigate. Both textiles are held in place with small tacks and are intact enough to clean up or add your own layer of history- perhaps a needlepoint. No weird/bad smell. Dimensions are 14" long by 10" wide by 7" tall at the frame plus about 3/4" for the pad. The joints and nails are in good condition but I would not plan to use this as a step stool(unless by a child) I did not find any splits ... moreor cracks in the wood frame and all of the nail heads look alike(a little rusty) so no signs of modern repairs. Just an adorable little ole thing! Very charming and functional; picture this holding your stack of books next to a favorite reading chair. Great primitive decorator piece! vintage stool Art Specialty co. 1900's to the 1950's
This stool is approx. 16" long by approx. 12" wide by approx. 7" tall the legs are cast iron and the fabric is very very old and the padding used for stuffing the stool is sawdust. On both legs it is marked AS680 Art Specialty Co. I believe this co. is an old name from the 1900's into the 1950's I'm not sure how old this stool is but if you date it from the fabric that is on it it is very old your guess is as good as mine.

It is finely crafted of richly figured burl walnut and has a tightly sewn beaded top. It was designed to fold to a relatively small package so that it could be easily taken on trips in a coach. The top of this unique stool is 10½” wide and 5½” deep. The legs fold down and a brace swings between them to hold them tight. The stool stands 2” tall when folded and 5½” tall when the legs are deployed. This antique piece has excellent patina but also a little damage. The cord around the beaded top is loose. No reserve and very reasonable open on this cool vintage metal stool with leather pad/seat top Has decal underneath reads- InterRoyal Corporation Industrial Seating The height is adjustable with lowest seat is 21 3/4" tall and highest 27 3/4" tall- the seat is 14 1/2" across As you can see from photos has blue paint on it and surface rust- not rusted out no holes or weak areas. Very solid Can be used as is but if some put a little effort into restoring could be very impressive I cannot guarantee all items are from Pet Free/Smoke Free homes. Most items come from estates.
