Chinese Zitan furniture set
These pieces were crafted outside Shanghai. The wood is 100% Zitan. And very old. The designer specializes in recreating pieces made out of rare Chinese woods mainly Huanghuali and Zitan. The table is a more redish color and will turn more dark purple with age. The chairs have aged more and are already a darker shade. The chairs are 19lbs each and the table is 25lbs. This wood is very dense and one of the only woods that sink in water. Zitan is looked at as an investment in China right now.
