By design I left lots of character marks. Nicks, dings, cracks and distress marks in the wood! I rebuilt the drawer it is rock solid& slides excellent. I also reglued the leg stretchers(they connect the legs) I lined the drawer bottom with some velvety soft wide ribbed black courdoroy. It looks& feels great The antique crystal knob is the icing on the cake. It has a small chip, it looks great with this distressed look! Notice the detail of all the turnings on the legs. A STUNNING PAIR OF ANTIQUE FRENCH ORNATE GILT BRONZE CONSOLE OR FURNITURE LEGS
FATIGUED FRENCH FINDS This is a pair of simply stunning antique French bronze legs for a console or furniture. They are in the Rococo style and are dripping with shells. Acanthus leave, oak leaves and other organic embellishments. They are hollow in the centre but very heavy. Each leg weighs approximately 2.800kgs. Each one is surmounted by a square piece of wood with a wooden dowel peg protruding from the top. One of the pieces of wood has a crack in but nothing serious and you may wish to re-finish the wood as there are scratches to the surface. At the narrow end of the leg there is a large solid bronze fixing plate with two screw holes. One of these plates has been bent slightly and will need straightening. They really are a stunning pair and could be used in a number of ways. They are 11¾” long and the widest part is 3” The wood ... moreat the top is 3½” by 3¾” There are touches of verdigris as shown in the photographs but this will polish off. This is a precious original antique French miniature vitrine display cabinet from around 1875. It is made of silver cast metal and the back is covered with silk moire fabric. It has a hinged door which opens to reveal an internal mirror. Two shelves and a secret compartment. It has 4 glass panels. The left one is cracked and the front panel glass has fallen out but the glass is still with the vitrine although it is broken into two pieces. It measures It is marked on the bottom Depose N25. Antique French Ormolu Brass Decorative Hardware for Furniture 1800s Once piece
One piece of Ormolu Brass Furniture Fitting for wardrobe or bookcase. Made in France in the 1800s. The finish is still good on it. I couldn't find any stress fractures on it. The dimensions are 22.5 cm long by 8 m tall. Or in inches it is 8 3/4 inches long or 3 1/8 inches tall. There are three pinholes in it to affix it to your furniture. Payment by Paypal. I will do combined postage but it will depend on the weight of the items as if it pushes it over 2 kg the cost can be expensive and no room for changing the price. Rare Museum Quality Campaign Bed Chair Furniture Antique French Generals 1800's
This is a French Generals Campaign Bed. Purchased by the lady who gave it to my client, in Paris, France in the 1950's. This Campaign bed/chair is extremely rare. I have not been able to find another similar with the scroll work and detailing. Open this bed is 29.5" Wide X 80" Long X 16" OFF THE GROUND. The foot panel is 11" High This bed has been borrowed by the Metropolitan Opera for several of it's past performances. I believe this bed is made out of Iron(But it maybe steel) The upholstery interior is a dense cotton. There are 2 cushion- one is 2 panel- one is 4 panel- to be used interchangeably if the piece is to be used as a a bed or a chair. Below the cotton fabric which is on it now- on the cushions. There are some small chips in the walnut and some of the edges of the carvings have been chipped.
