This is quite a nice multi drawer oak cabinet. Piece is refinished and has a smooth and even finish(including the drawer interiors) the inside is clean and without odor. The cabinet has four doors along the base which each have a removable shelf. There are two sizes of drawers. Four of them have interior measurements of 9 wide. 15 deep, and 8 high. This auction includes two wood pieces. A 4-drawer chest that is 10" wide, 11" high and 6.5" deep. The small drawers are 4.5" wide, 2" high and 5.75 deep. I would almost think this is a Hall's product, if you look closely at the fourth pictures, the wood has the striations of Hall's doll furniture! It sits level and the drawers open and close smoothly. The other piece is a lovely wardrobe I've had for years and I hate to part with it. But time has come. The wardrobe is 13.5" wide, 22.25" high and 5" deep. Behind one door are four shelves, you will find doll slippers I will leave on them! The shelves are 5.75" wide, 2.75" high and 5.5 deep. Behind the right door is a space for hanging clothes on one rod. This space is 5.75" wide, 12.25" high and 5.5" deep. The drawers ... moreare very generous, held a lot of Ginny things. They are 11.25" wide, 2.5" high and 5" deep. The wardrobe stands level, the doors open and close completely and easily. The drawers open and close smoothly. The wardrobe would be a beautiful addition to any collection! That's Jill's wedding dress hanging in the wardrobe, it is NOT included in the auction. These are solid wood pieces and weigh a lot. THIS IS AN ANTIQUE NEW HOME TREADLE SEWING MACHINE IN A WOOD CABINET WITH 4 DRAWERS AND CAST IRON BASE. MACHINE RISES BY CABLE WHEN THE LID IS OPENED. MACHINE MOVES FREELY BUT IS TARNISHED AND HAS A LITTLE SURFACE RUST. WOOD CABINET IS IN GOOD STRUCTURAL CONDITION BUT SHOWS A LITTLE WEAR. ONE DRAWER HAS THE BACK WOOD PIECE MISSING. CAST IRON TREADLE BASE IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND MOVES FREELY. MACHINE HAS THE ORIGINAL DRIVE BELT WHICH IS A LITTLE LOOSE. THIS IS A GOOD RESTORATION PROJECT.

Purchased at Files Auction House in Orange County about 15 years ago for $450. This antique drop front 4-drawer desk is for sale with a low starting price. Downsizing requires it to go. Beautiful notched carpentry joints(see picture) and birds eye maple lined drawers(see picture) The metal hinge on the drop front says'PAT'D APR 5. 87' Specific age unknown but late 1880s or early 1890s thus seems probable. Pull knob hardware on drawers does not appear original as there are plugged holes on each drawer. Claw and ball feet. No key for locks.though antique locks are present on all four drawers and on drop front. One of the pull out rests for the drop front top has a non-original wood end cap that has faded over the years and should be restained- but I will leave that to the buyer as I am not experienced in these matters.
