fid7054a-c A 3pc Antique American Floral Stained and Jeweled Glass set. Most likely from Cincinnati, circa 1890. Very ornate with belts of jewels and chunk glass used to decorate the flowers. The 3 panels have all been reframed and reinforcing bars have been soldered on the transom. There are a few cracks in the transom, very few in the two side panels. The transom measures 55" x 22" while the side panels are 22" square. I am in the process of editing the historic background of the windows but essentially it is that they came from the Lipman home. Portland, Or. Lipman of Lipman Wolfe Department Store)These windows are in very good condition. They had been installed for the last 10-20 years in a Portland home, protected by thermopane units. The arched window was not covered. The windows have had a couple of replaced pieces and the addition of a few lead lines. All done quite some time ago. HUGE ANTIQUE GILDED ERA STAINED GLASS WINDOW 161 JEWELS KANSAS CITY HISTORY
This magnificent window depicting a burning torch measures 79 inches by 39 inches. Contains 21.4 square feet of glass and 161 handcut jewels and was purchased as salvage from a Kansas City mansion in 1937. We were told the mansion was Elmhurst which was designed by reknowned architect Frederick E. Hall for John Perry, a coal magnate, and built in 1898 as a surprise for his wife and children who were in Europe and tragically lost at sea while returning to America on the French ship LaBurgoyne, having never seen the home. Mr. Perry sold the home and it was purchased a short time later by Joseph T. Bird, part owner of Emery Bird Thayer Dry Goods Company. The Bird family resided in the home until it was razed in 1937. This window contains about 2,000 pieces of glass and nine artfully installed rebars. The lead is very dainty. The entire piece ... moreis masterfully done. The colors are subtle golden shades. Two small pieces have gone missing from the background but can be matched with Kokomo Opalescent Glass, probably color#11LL. There is a slight bulge near the bottom which does not affect stability. This window is a one-of-a-kind piece that is part of our American history that needs to be displayed and appreciated. Beautiful ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION antique stained and leaded glass landing window. Late 1800s era. The measurements are as follows: 61 1/2 inches tall. 41 1/2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches thick. This window has it`s original frame and is in very good condition. Since it is an antique, you may expect the usual age related flaws as well as some minor cracks or other minor imperfections but overall it is in nice condition. Antique stained, hand-etched and painted leaded glass panel 6 ½ x 30 inches
This panel is from the border of a very old church window from upstate NY. We have cleaned and re-grouted the piece and added zinc edging for reinforcement. All the glass is original. This one of a kind. It features hand painted and etched work of a master artisan. There are some imperfections and some cracks but that’s part of their intrinsic charm. If you have ever been fascinated by the intricacy and harmony of color and line in old church windows. Check out this beautiful architectural beauty. Indiana State House historical piece Antique Walnut Table Indianapolis
You are bidding on an antique Walnut table with original Indiana State House etched glass. The 1888 etched glass was removed from the Indiana State House in 1969 from one of the atrium during renovation. I am guessing the walnut used to construct the table is from the senate or house chambers. some renovation in the chambers were done during the 1969 renovation. This wood matches the lumber used in the chambers. No cracks in glass. Table is 41 1/2 inches square and 31 1/2 inches high. Can make arrangements delivery or pick! Stained and painted leaded glass window c. 1840, Massachusetts
Rare 19th Century Stained AND Painted Leaded Glass Window. Mass. c. 1840 Acquired by my father in 1959 in Deerfield. MA at an architectural salvage auction prior to demolition of an old property, this rare and colorful Greek Revival stained and painted leaded demi-roundel illustrates a Greek Temple in a Classic garden, c.1840(or, possibly, earlier; in any event, it is probably no later than the date of the demolished property in which it had been installed) It is held in a substantial double-glazed wooden sash(not original but useful) suitable for installation through an exterior wall(as my father did) or wall-mounting in an interior. The stained/painted area is 28" long on its base, 20" high at the peak of its arc. The sash in which it sits is 33' w by 25" high. While generally in excellent vintage condition(the photograph ... moreis fairly recent) consistent with the extreme age of this piece. One or two very short seams of its leading may need a bit of attention. I recognize"short" and"a bit of" are inexact terms but I really mean to convey"minor. So minor, in fact, that, when we removed the piece from my late father's house some years ago prior to placing it in storage, we noted what might be done and decided to leave it in its original state safely resting between two layers of glass. Lamb Studio's Figural Window
fid9004 An Antique American Stained and Painted Glass Figural Window. I would think this is most likely from Lamb Studio's. This window was in very rough condition when I acquired it. It had been subjected to water in some manner and most of the plated sections were badly discolored with dirt having filtered in between the layers.The restoration process for this window involved removing almost all of the plating and cleaning and some paint touch-up and then recementing. The result is a much clearer and stronger window. I have included a picture of the window in its un-restored state. The window is in a replaced Oak frame which measures43" x 71" The panel itself measures 36" x 58" I think that the window is complete from side to side. However I think it likely that there was another panel above. I do not think this ... morepanel was salvaged from within a larger panel, but it may have been part of a larger overall scene. There is substantial cracking. Much of which has been glued with significant improvement. There has been some glass replacement in the sky and background.I find the paintwork to be very nicely executed and the overall effect and quality of the window to be very good. I think the composition is exceptional; I find the glass to be very nice, most likely substantially from Kokomo, but not of the extraordinary variety, i.e. confetti or drapery glass. I find none of the'pond scum' type glass often found in Tiffany work. Both sections are in their original frames, the bottom measuring 62" x 37.5" and the top 62" x 30" Unusually, there is a provenance to these windows in that the man I bought them from, a Carpenter, removed them from their original installation after a fire damaged the home. The windows are both in very good condition with a crack or two in the arch section and one noticeable fracture in the column base on the right of the window. There is one replaced piece of glass in the lower right section of meadow. There is some use of mottled glass in the window. Robert Burns Antique Stained Glass Window Early 1800's (34.5" x 44.5")
This piece of art was salvaged from a building that was scheduled for demolition in Johnstone. Scotland a small town just outside of Paisley in 1960. The estate which was being used as an officer's club at the time was thought to be over a hundred years old. The buyer had the window crated and shipped to his home in Utah, U.S.A. There it sat in his garage for the next 50 years. My father who has dealt in antiques for most of his life. Came across this piece and acquired it from the purchaser in 2009. It was not in great shape and subsequently he brought it to me. I have been working as a stained glass artist and painter for the last 11 years. Upon investigation I agreed to help restore the window. After major cleaning of caked on dirt and grime there were some issues that needed to be addressed. It was apparent that a square piece had ... morebroken long ago and it was replaced very poorly. Also. Many of the pieces throughout the border were cracked and even missing in some places. There were two pieces with painted leaves that were broken as well that would need to be repainted and replaced. Lastly, the lead itself was in such bad shape and corroded it was literally coming apart in some places. Luckily, there was no damage to the portrait itself and overall very few pieces needed to be replaced. I took the whole thing apart and cleaned every piece thoroughly. Within the border areas I took the liberty of adding extra lead lines so that all the original glass could be used and I only had to add a few modern pieces to fill some small gaps. I repainted the two leaf pieces in the exact way they were painted originally and was very happy with the outcome. They match perfectly! Once everything was in order I re-leaded all the pieces to match the original 1/4" flat head came and installed it back into its original frame. Which was hand cut and constructed with wood dowels on the corners. I did add some steel support to the window that was not on the original window, but it makes it much stronger and durable. Beautiful. Old antique reverse painted stained glass window. From back east, probably Pennsylvania. This belonged to my brother-in-law for years. He was an antique collector. The middle medallion is reverse painted. When exposed to light. It reveals bluebirds of happiness along with branches of flowers and leaves. Window is sitting in sunlight to show details. Surrounding the round piece is stained glass in blues. Reds, yellows, golds, and greens- and a wood frame. If very good. Solid condition. Frame has normal wear for age of item. Measures: 27" tall x 24" wide. Additional Information: I got a chance to take a better look at the window. It needs a good cleaning. We have not bothered with it since 1995 when we got it. I am not by any stretch an expert or even a novice at stained glass windows. ... moreLike I said we inherited these windows from my brother-in-law who lived back east. The frame on the window is very tight and solid and is a dark wood naturally. It is natural on one side and white on the other. The photo shows this- along with the sides of the window how it probably opened. There are two metal bars across the window that is tied with wire which looks original. The lead looks pretty good for the age of this window. The glass on one side is bumpy and textured- on the other side its is smooth. There are lines within the glass pieces but when I felt them. They were only on one side- not all the way through. The last photo shows a line on the right which I can feel, but it does not go through to the other side. There may be cracks within the pieces or not. But I cannot be totally sure because I really don't know what I'm looking at. I cannot tell for sure because the glass is very textured. I'm just going to send this along for what it is. I found this envelope in a box of oddments that I bought at an auction. I didn't even know that it was in there. Neither did anyone else, clearly. This is a Section of Lead from the South Rose Window at Reims Cathedral that was Destroyed in WWI Along with 1919 Cathedral Admission Ticket and a tiny piece of masonry. The lead piece is about 2 1/4" long. The Ticket has, Colonel Webb" and what looks to be French for, accompanied by three officers" written on it in ink. I'd be skeptical about this except that I don't have any reason to be.I didn't pay anything for it. and it has internal provenance in the form of the admission receipt that was also in the envelope. All that said I don't know if anyone cares about this or wants it. Bid away.

Beautiful intensely colored Victorian transom window c1890 in shades of blue. Red and amber textured glass(fleue de lis motif) purple slag border with center clear beveled pieces. It could be installed or hung vertically as well as it is symmetrical. There are no cracks in any of the pieces– it is in excellent condition. It looks like there have been some minor lead repairs made. Frame is painted on both sides and needs to be either fully restored or replaced. In the frame. It measures 47 ½”w x 19”h. Antique Stained Leaded Glass Window St. Patrick's Irish Motif from Phili Church
This antique stained leaded glass was a salvaged window from an old Church in Philadelphia. My father acquired it in 1970 and was told that it was at least 50 years old AT THAT TIME which would date it pre 1920. He had it beautifully framed in oak and hung it inside his home over a window to appreciate it's beauty. There are 4 holes through the corners of the frame which is how it was mounted. I have no where to display this piece so I have decided to part with it. The glass measures 16 3/4" wide by 28" tall and the frames' outside measurements are 21 3/4" X 33" Please realize this is a very old piece and it does have some cracks in the glass and some minor separation of the lead. All the glass is still well in place. This is a hand wrought work of art made by a skilled craftsman. I have provided 12 photographs ... morebut please don't hesitate to ask for any additional. I will ship please see below. This is an exceptional Antique Stained Glass Window. Its is very colorful with Ruby. Green, Purple, Yellow, Blue and other colors. It has 13 rondels of different sizes in Ruby, Green and Blue. This window is real beauty.the colors are amazing. The window is 23.5 inches wide x 35 inches long. It is over 100 years old. The photographs appear dirty in some areas but that is the etched glass which is beautiful but my camera cannot capture the etched glass. The condition is very good with one hairline crack barely noticeable about an inch big. You cannot see unless you look for it. The window has the typical support bars on the opposite side and one appears loose but in no way affect the stability of the window. The window has been stripped of all of the old paint and re-glazed. All of the work is done. Prefer local ... morepickup but. Buyer can use a packing and shipper. UPS or a local Mail service. There are plenty I have used before. The buyer will be responsible for paying the shipper directly.
