A most unusual antique. Circa 1890's, domestic leaded glass window in having color clear slag glass in pastel colors, no opaque slag glass. There are small facet cut amber glass jewel adornments. The window proper measures 35-1/4" wide by 20" tall, the painted wood frame 40" by 23" by 1-1/4" Good condition: solid leading, slight bow to leading in bottom border. About ten various pieces of glass with a crack(center oval fine) but all secure. The frame is in very good condition.

My husband is a plumber and did a repipe and a bit more work a couple years ago in a century home in charleston sc. Owners were very nice and gave us some original fixtures, etc, etc that they were going to throw away, this piece of glass was actually from one of the original pocket doors that they replaced and we had to cut it out because the rest if the glass on door got broken.😟this panel is in beautiful condition, colors and textures of different glasses used are great, design is great, lead framing shows signs of where it was cut from door, no damage just glue/plaster like substance around perimeter, overall piece is in great condition with no breakage, chips or flakes. The glass only measures 26 by 12.25 inches and 18 inches. They are 1.75 inches thick. Overall they are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. The window was originally saved from another church that was built in the 1890's. The grounds where the church once stood have now been turned into a fellowship community garden. Each painted panel measures about 5 3/4" x 3 1/2" The dimensions of the run, including the borders, are about 17 3/4" x 4 3/4" Not included in these dimensions, but included in your purchase, are the fragments of glass shown at one end of the run. The run could be incorporated into the design for a larger panel for a window or door, or the panels could be separated and made into sun catchers. But was also told it is pre 1900's. Magnificent English Stained Glass Window
Magnificent English stained glass window attributed to Christopher Whitworth Whall(1849-1924) The window was obtained many years ago from the family of a nun who was associated with St. Margaret's Church and Hospital. And St. Mary's Infant Asylum in Dorchester, MA. Prior to that, there is no record as to where the window originated. Two stained glass experts agree that it is definitely English and probably the work of Whall or someone with whom he closely was associated. Since I have no further documentation, I am listing it as attributed to Whall or Whall school. Every detail of this window is superb and the coloration, particularly the blues is beautiful. From the Child's face to the eight birds surrounding him, the beauty of the window is awesome. It measures approximately 23" wide x 21" high(sight size) and 27" ... morewide x 25" high framed. The town eventually ran out of natural gas. This was also the town where the Fostoria Glass Co got it's start. Fostoria Glass moved to Moundville, WV when the gas ran out. Listed is an antique stained glass window. Made circa 1900. This window measures 19" across and the side edge measures 1.5 inches. The window's leading is in very good condition, being solid and does not show signs of breaks or dryness. The glass panels are in excellent condition, except for 3 breaks. One in the center of the window, a small wedge size piece on the edge and a small crack on the edge. check pics to see these 3 areas) The glass window has an unusual round shape with a 1.5" edge that will allow for easy hanging on a wall. There is also a built in metal loop that allows for secure hanging of the window. The center sunburst or petal design is done in tones of green and shows especially well against an amber background with the light beige trim around the edge. This is a piece of stain glass that can be easily hung ... morein the center of a larger clear glass window to allow the sun to shine through and show spectacular colors. Up for sale are these two Aesthetic Victorian windows. The both measure 29 1/2" wide by 88 1/2" tall in there original wood frame which have the original sills and are very solid. Glass size is about 27 1/2" by 86" they are both i great shape with very little damage. The first window is missing two very small pieces of green glass but it is very hard to notice because of there small size. See photos. I think this is an early piece, based upon the overall look and the glass around the edges. The face of Jesus was painted by hand. the panel measures about 11&1/2" high and 10" wide. I could find no damages to the mask and remainder of the panel. There have been wired soldered onto the lead both front and back to allow for hanging the panel.I am sure this was done much later. The wooden frame is in good antique condition and has some chipped and peeling paint as pictured. The window measures 20-3/8” wide, 53-1/8” tall, and 1-3/8” thick. Rare Antique Stained Glass Church Windows, Circa Late 1800's
A rare and beautiful set of stained glass windows. The hand crafted design and nature of the stained glass speaks to the late 1800's. The windows were salvaged from an old church in the Chicago area in the 1970's and have been professionally restored to their original glory. The restorers believe that the style and material suggests that they probably were imported. They have been re-framed and are substantial enough to be installed as windows. Both windows are in superb condition given their age. Sionce their restoration in 1976 they have been used indoors as partition screens and not exposed to the elements. The loving and qualified restoration make any repairs unremarkable. Each window is 79" tall and 16 3/4" wide. The wood frame size is 89" tall and 21 3/4" wide and 2" deep. Vintage Stained/Leaded Glass Panel Historical Insert Late 1800s Chicago
For auction I have a stained glass panel built about 35 years ago. The center piece was salvaged from a wrecking site in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood in the 1980s. It was used soon after in this panel. Which I assembled in my studio. This historical insert was acid-etched, and dates back to the late 1800s. The remaining segments are French craquel and hand-cut Austrian jewels. The panel measures 12 7/8" X 17 5/8" If desired the hangers can be removed. Please excuse the poor photograph. Flemish hand-painted rondel stained glass windows (after Durer woodcuts)
Theree are four hand-painted stained glass rondels done in the early Flemish style(possibly 16th century) see book for comparison with other 16th century windows) They are set in a larger pair of newer(19th century) frames two rondels per frame(see picture) The scenes depicted are similar to Durer woodcuts and are of biblical or classical themse. Durer's Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse with three horsemen) Though I am not an art expert and cannot say definitively they are 16th century the colors and quality of work all indicate 16th century Flemish master. One of the wooden frames was damaged in removing from my winery but does not affect the rondels themselves. There is a hairline crack in the circular decorative border of one of the rondels. Similar single rondels somewhat worse condition on British auction sites go for eight thousand ... moredollars! Please NOTE! Shipping charges are estimated! Pair 19 th Century Fully Leaded& Framed Stained Glass Church Windows 29 ¾’ x 17” Here is what I believe to be a pair of 19 th Century Fully Leaded& Framed Stained Glass Church Windows measuring 29 ¾’ x 17” each from an unknown church in Chicago. I bought these many years ago from a retired part owner of a construction and demolition company who had a garage full of these that he decided to part with since he had enough of framing and selling them after he retired. These he believed came from a 19 th century church they demolished sometime in the 1970’s or 80’s. The only thing I did to these was to carefully clean the glass once when I first did the project and brush off any loose residue from the lead with a dry toothbrush before framing them with aluminum channel rails. I tried to take the pictures in different lighting ... moreenvironments to expose the colors as the lighting conditions change and taken together I think it gives the viewer a pretty good idea of what these look like. All the glass has oodles and boodles of seeds(or tiny bubbles. As Don Ho would say) and that I can see, there is no damage on either of these windows. The frames are very light weight but still offer more than enough support for hanging the way I have done. These will stay hanging until they are shipped. These don’t really belong stylistically where I live now and it’s time for me to open up the space that these take up. It will take me up to a week to ship these after the sale because I will be shipping these in a sturdy hand made wooden box and packaging them separated by sturdy shipping foam. I only charge for actual shipping costs but the packaging alone may add an extra $15 or so to ship. I am rather fastidious about shipping in safe packaging because I tend to ship rather delicate items and machines. Since these windows will remain hanging until I am ready to ship them and I can’t really accurately estimate the total shipping cost.
