Crafted in England c1980-90, Chesterfield style, Green leather, Sofa. Club chair, and wingback chair, Brass brads, Mahogany feet, General surface wear, Sturdy. Very good overall condition, This exquisite vintage leather suite was crafted in England between 1980 and 1990. The set includes one Churchill style sofa. One Churchill style club chair, and one Monks style wingback chair. The green leather on all three pieces has been refurbished to restore original color and luster, resulting in a marvelous suite of traditional chesterfield furniture. Each piece is also as comfortable as it is sturdy, so this suite combines beauty with utility-in classic English fashion! Each piece has also sustained a number of scuffs but remains beautiful, so overall condition is good. The sofa measures 78" wide x 34" deep x 28.5" high. The club chair measure 40" wide x 34" deep x 28.5" high. The wingback measures 30" wide x 33" deep x 40" high. The suite includes one sofa. Which comfortably seats three. Shown here is the club chair. Shown here is the monks style wingback chair. The buttoned leather looks rich. The brass brads and green buttoned leather contrast beautifully. Although very beautiful. Made in England Circa 1980 Green buttoned leather Sturdy mahogany bun feet Removable cushions Very good condition, The Chesterfield sofa was created to offer seating that promoted proper posture as well as comfort. This beautiful green leather Chesterfield sofa is no exception. The cushions are quite comfortable and the look of the buttoned green leather is unparalleled. This couch is in excellent condition with the leather having the proper amount of wear but no damage to it. This Chesterfield was made in England and the circa date is about 1980. The entire couch sits on mahogany bun feet and a birch frame that are quite strong and sturdy. The sofa was recently refurbished in England to bring back the leather's original color and luster as well as having the seat cushions re-stuffed. The seat height measures 17.5" A beautiful green leather Chesterfield sofa. Looks great from all angles. The cushions are removable for easy cleaning. The cushions are soft enough to be comfortable. But firm enough that you don't sink into them. The rolled arms are part of the classic Chesterfield look. The buttoned leather back is gorgeous. These mahogany bun feet are quite sturdy. This is a 100-percent genuine leather antique sofa that came in on an English container. It’s difficult to date leather. Even after selling ... moreit for so many years, but I’m guessing it’s from the last 20 to 40 years. This one has been used, because you can see the wear marks where someone’s arm and hand have rested over the years. It’s got all kinds of buttons and pleats, including across the front of the kickboard, on the top of the arms and the back, and it’s in an antique red with black highlights. It has three removable cushions, which all have the wrinkle marks that look fantastic. This sofa has one cushion that there is a seam that has started to come apart on the front of the cushion, and there is a little cigarette burn also that can be patched. We normally like them to be perfect, but they are becoming more and more scarce and was happy to locate this one even with a couple of small blemishes. The overall size is 75 inches wide across the outside of the arms, 53 inches on the inside, 37 inches deep, and 26 inches high to the arm. It’s in really nice condition other than the flaws on the middle cushion, and is aged to a lovely patina. You may have established that the majority of our pieces are named after historical British Prime Ministers. but not this one. the Vintage Chesterfield is cleverly named- or so we think- due to the fact that is was modelled on a true vintage design(pictured) The Vintage Chesterfield matched the original. 80-year-old piece inch for inch, diamond for diamond, button for button. we even managed to replicate the old rusty legs and using a secret OSC ingredient. We fashioned out rustic, worn steel casters. The original Chesterfield was made in the early 20th Century and recently sold on Christie's auctions in excess of £14,000 alongside two vintage club chairs. The ... morebuyer wanted a second suite to match his stunning purchase, but to find something of the same style from that period was unlikely, so we were asked to craft a replica. To create the worn, 1900s feel, we hand dyed our replica piece initially with yellow before applying a second coat of chestnut brown, and a final layer of elephant grey. The process produced a finish that was not only original, but incredibly warm and satisfying. Vintage brown leather Chesterfield sofa - beautifully worn in
I just bought this beautiful brown leather Chesterfield for a client at auction. And now she wants a green sofa. It came out of an old estate in Upstate New York. It does not look like one of those shiny new couches- this one has an amazing patina and gorgeous detail work. There is a small tear in the front(as seen in photos) but this is an easy fix for a leather repair/upholsterer. Then again, many people like the worn look and would prefer for it to remain as is(without the tape, of course) I was looking around for other Chesterfields like this on Ebay. And other comparable ones are selling for $3500- $5000. I would keep it, but I would rather just make some money back in order to purchase the sofa that my client wants. Really, this is a steal. 1930's Green Leather Chesterfield Tufted Sofa (Last time Listing)
1930's Winchester button tufted green sofa. In amazing shape for its age. The leather button tuft portion is still soft and pliable. No cracks. Tears or rips. The brass knobs are all there and still bright as well. The seat cushions are in decent shape. The center cushion does have some cracking in the leather but could be repaired if desired. The sofa also has roller style wheels on the bottom for easy movement. Payment is due within 48hrs of auction ending unless other arrangements are made with me. I'd prefer local pick up but will assist as much as possible if you prefer to have this item shipped. Shipping company and costs are still the buyers responsibility though. The distinctive, buttoned leather that has been the mark of refined taste and style for many years now is quite stylish indeed. Its rich, brown complexion is matched only by the sturdiness of the material itself–a thick cowhide leather that houses deep, plush cushions. A series of brass brads form a lovely complement to the brown leather, while sleek but characteristically understated mahogany bun feet provide sturdy support. Overall this sofa remains in good condition. You will notice in the photos crackling in the leather on the arm rests and back rest. This can be an attractive feature on the leather and as long as you keep the leather conditioned with leather conditioner twice a year. It will not progress. Both arm rests exhibit some scuffs and the lower left corner on the back has some old scuffs(actual marks in the leather) as well.
