We offer for your consideration a fantastic Victorian. Heavily carved oak settee or sofa. The carvings feature barley twist legs and supports, grape vines, and sparrows. Lush hunter green finial tassels accent the matching cushions, roped back rest cushions, and padded/upholstered foot bench. 64" long, 24" wide from back to end of dragon's head arm rests, and 52 1/2" tall at highest point of back carving. Has been sitting in a suburban garage for more than a decade and is in need of a skilled owner and new home as the kids are grown. The house is going on the market and we’re downsizing. CONDITION DETAILS: Wood exterior components are quartersawn oak(see lovely grain in side photos) and feet are carved lion paw style; feet can be unscrewed from frame with wingnuts and someone added standard caster mounts into bottom of feet long ago. The solid oak is quite beautiful. While the table itself is very sturdy and remains in very good overall condition. The solid oak displays a rich complexion and a striking grain that should complement any setting. This owes in large part to the original finishing process. Which would have included multiple stages ending in a fine coat of hand-rubbed wax. Reupholstered mission era antique oak love seat. This love seat folds out into a bed. It has springs for mattress and unique pop up foot board. Buyers must pick up in Warrensburg. MO 64093. The love seat is very heavy. 60.75" wide, 30.75" deep, 36.5" high seat back. Though it lacks the mark, this appears to be a Kroehler/Kindel duofold divanette sofa bed. As shown in several of the pictures, Kindel furniture company was purchased by Kroehler in 1915.
