This is one of 2 antique counters available for sale in a 1853 store building located in Altona. Illinois 61414 on U.S. hywy#34 between the Quad Cities and Peoria, Illinois. The counter has a refinished old walnut top that was lovingly restored by the previous owners of the antique shop. Size of the smaller one at the rear of the shop is: 32 in. height by 11 feet long by 34 in. in depth by the walnut top dimensions. The Base is on a black painted molding with elaborate molding from the black base up to the beautiful walnut top with an antique finish as mentioned above! You will love the molding and the seller hopes to add pictures of this counter and the other longer one soon. There is one long shelf on this counter for storage. You will not find another counter like this in this condition and over 150 years old! This is a very nice solid oak court cupboard. l would like to say it circa 1690. But lam not sure if the carving on the top is original. l bought it in England. And thought it was a fantastic cupboard. looking at the cupboard it is very old and l think its certainly a few hundred years old. But in the Victorian days they used to alter things, so it gives me the impression that it could have been altered maybe 100 years ago. So lam selling it as it is. Lts still a great piece of furniture and the carvings are superb. The top comes of the base so it is easy to transport. 58 wide. 18 deep, 75 high.

This mid 19th century sideboard has all the wonderful craftsmanship one expects from 19th century pieces and this one is positively beautiful. This sideboard measures 58 inches tall from the floor to the top of the sides of the chimney back-splash. 48 inches in height to the top of the front,62 1/2 inches wide and 25 3/4 inches deep and weighs approximately 200 lbs. All of the locks are intact on this piece but the key provided just aids in opening the doors at the base. Full length door hinges and ornate metal drawer pulls accent the front opf the piece as well as a simple floral carving on the valanced skirt. Being presented for sale is this Superb Victorian Walnut& Burl walnut Brown Marble Top Mirrored back Sideboard/ Buffet with carved Lion heads circa 1880. This 19th century piece is just gorgeous and would surely be a beautiful focal point in your home. This is a impressive sideboard with gorgeous spoon carvings. Finials, carved Lion heads,burl walnut panel accents and a fancy carved scroll and shell gallery as well as the original beautiful brown marble top and the original brass hardware and early dove-tailed ends on the drawers. This sideboard/ buffet measures a total height of 82 1/2 inches( 6 ft 10 1/2 in) to the top of the carvings on the very top center. Height from the floor to the top of the brown marble measures 36 1/2 inches,with a total width of 48 1/4 inches and a depth at the base of 21 1/2 inches and this pieces weighs approximately ... more250 lbs. This sideboard does dis-assemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf above the marble measures 26 inches in height above the marble top and the shelf measures 43 inches wide by 11 inches deep.The larger mirror measures 19 inches high by 33 inches wide, and the three mirrors at the top each measure 10 inches wide by 6 inches high. This is a fabulous piece in wonderful antique condition and the original brown marble top is also just beautiful with no apologies we can find. All the locks are intact but the key provided just aids in opening the cabinet doors and does not work the locks. There is a small piece of carving missing on the left side of the pediment inside of one of the scrolls. I have shown a close-up of in the pictures and appears to have been missing for a long time.nothing major in my opinion and definitely doesn't distract from the beauty of this gorgeous 19th century piece. The top right drawer on the inside by the lock is missing a sliver of wood which this cannot be seen unless you open the drawer and left door bottom has a slight hairline which I have shown in a close-up picture also. Antique Oak French Provincial Buffet Country Sideboard Credenza
Stunning antique oak French Provincial style buffet. This generously sized piece has plenty of storage space and two shelves that could be used for serving. The fronts of the two main doors are carved with a motif of ribbons and musical instruments and there are simple flowers adorning the valanced and scrolled skirt. Panelled doors. Sides and back. Drawer pulls and other hardware look like antiqued brass. Each of the narrow side cabinets have two shelves that come with them, but are not currently installed. The back of the lower shelf has been covered in a white textured paper that is very pretty, but likely not original to the piece. Unsure of the buffet's exct age, but believe it to date from the late 1800's. Overall. This piece is in very good condition. Light wear to the surfaces and edges associated with use, but no other breaks ... moreor damage. The buffet stands 50" tall and measures approximately 73" wide and 17.5" deep. This buffet comes in 3 major pieces. It can be taken apart very easily for cleaning. Maintenance or repairs. It also ships very easily on wooden crates. It has an original finish to it, and was never varnished. The best way to maintain is to oil them regularly as they have been for the last century. This buffet shows evidence that it has been restored one or several times. It probably sustained some damage and needed repairs. It appears that there is also a combination of wood. Oak being of them. The stained glass seemed to be original, could be the central point of interest, but the carved and turned columns is certainly the central focal point of this buffet.
