19th c Empire Mahogany Pedestal Sideboard with Cellarette Drawer Hairy Paw Feet Brass Lion Head Pulls What a gorgeous early 19th century sideboard this is with a grand presence that is executed in rich mahogany.With six large carved hairy paw feet, the original brass lion head pulls and working keys. This sideboard has a cellarette drawer and fitted interior for wine and decanter bottles on the sides, cabinets below and large storage drawers at the center.All the drawers are exquisitely hand dovetailed and retain their original brass Lion Head pulls and all the locks are intact. There are 2 keys with this fine piece and all the locks work except the bottom cabinet on each side. The drawers and door fronts are all executed in gorgeous flamed mahogany encased with petite moldings. This exceptional fine quality sideboard measures 40 1/2 inches ... morein height on each side.36 inches in height at the drop center, with a total length of 85 inches, and depth of the sides are 26 3/4 inches with the depth at the center area being 29 3/4 inches and this sideboard weighs approximately 150 lbs but does separate into three pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. This grand sideboard rests on six large finely carved hairy paw feet with the center back having straight legs. The right and left sides do present with an age wood shrinkage which is commonly found in these very early pieces and does not distract from its appeal. The top does show surface marks and some scratches thats totally appropriate for its age and also does not distract from the regal beauty this piece offers.The color and patina of the finish is rich and inviting. INCREDIBLE hand carved English hutch/buffet/sideboard just waiting for that perfect spot in your home. Made entirely of beautiful dark wood. This piece has been meticulously carved by hand, and no opportunity for adding elegance has been missed. Includes all original hardware and mirror. This sideboard separates into two pieces in case you only want to use the buffet portion on the bottom. The sides of the hutch include intricately carved finials and small"shelves" for displaying your favorite small items(I used antique perfume bottles) and small painted plates. There is a small crack along the left side of the buffet close to where it meets the hutch, which I assume is due to its travel from England. Late 19th Century display sideboard with a shaped pediment. Above a large mirror enclosing a smaller mirror and shelves. Each side of the center shelf is flanked by pegged hand carved Griffins. The lower section has a carved panel door flanked by open shelves on turned supports. The wood is mahogany- not ebonized. Circia 1870-1890. Measures 49 1/2 wide, 77 tall, 15 deep. The dresser stands on pad feet with turned tapering legs to the front and square legs to the rear with a shaped pierced apron to both the sides and front and matched raised moulded drawer fronts with 17th/ 18th Century period style brass batwing handles with shaped droppers. Each of the drawes comes with its original lock and escutcheon although we have no keys to the drawers. However it would be relatively easy to have drawers made. The drawers have oak linings with dovetail joints, which are hand-cut. The dresser is surmounted by ... morea solid oak moulded top, rising over this the two door dresser rack with a pierced fretwork frieze, flared cornice and three shelves to the centre and a single shelf, which is removable, either side over the cupboards which have attractive arched panels, the shelves having arched bow fronts. The centre shelf is fitted with a plate groove, the dresser retaining its original solid oak backing. The doors come complete with working locks and keys and each having a single fitted shelf behind. 1880 French Renaissance Louis XV. Profusely Carved Quarter-Oak Sideboard/Buffet. It has a very decorative pierced gallery with finials on each end. The top center has a heavily carved crown. The Sideboard/Buffet is made in three main sections. The base with two drawers and two doors with one interior. Removable shelf measures: 55" wide x 21 1/2" deep x 39" tall. The next section supports the top section with two columns and provides a decorative pierced plate rail. It measures: 16" tall x 12" deep. The plate rail is 4" deep with a 2" opening for plates. The third(top section) measures: 51" wide x 41" tall x 13 1/2" deep. It has 3 profusely carved doors. The center door appears to have been carved from one piece of wood and represents a man on a horse with a trumpet chasing a deer. The piece features three doors on the front which open to reveal shelves. This is a door on the side which opens to reveal a leaf holder. This would have been used to store up to five of the leaves from an extending table. But today could also have other uses. The gorgeous flame mahogany is a wonderful colour which is the result of 150 years of sunlight and can not be reproduced today. Although Mahogany was most often used in its solid form. The sideboard is made from solid oak and has a lovely colour ... moreto it as shown clearly in the photo. The sideboard has lots of attractive features such as the wonderful carvings on the paneled doors. The top section has 3 richly carved doors with double fluted columns. There are some impressive carvings of fruit. Nuts, flowers, oak leaves and urns. All these motives and columns remind the neo classical style and the influence of the Greek art. The middle section has also some carvings of oak leaves. 2 large pilars each side and a plate rack at the back. The base section has also 2 richly carved paneled doors and 2 drawers. There are also some nice frieze running round the paneled doors and on the drawers as well. The drawers have their original handles. The base has also elegant columns each side. The Buffet stands on bun feet. The buffet has its original handles. Key escutcheons and original key. This buffet is a top quality Antique. The buffet is in its natural state. ANTIQUE MID 1800'S EMPIRE FLAME MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD BUFFET SILVER DRAWER
This a 19th century antique mahogany sideboard with some solid mahogany. Some figured mahogany veneers and pine secondary. There are two drawers over what appears to be three doors but is actually two doors. The right hand drawer is a lined drawer for silver ware and the bottom section can be totally locked. Drawers are hand dovetailed and the bottoms of the drawers are chamfered. The columns are like double ended C scrolls and the feet are simple.typical mid 1800's Empire Revival piece. Height to top = 40 1/2" Width = 57" Depth at deepest = 24" The lock sets are original. They are the"same" lockset in that they are both either left handed or right handed as the key needs to be reversed to work each lock. They lock easily. The key has been replaced. ANTIQUE 1870's VICTORIAN RENAISSANCE CARVED MAHOGANY MARBLE TOP SIDEBOARD w/ MIRROR The base is mahogany veneers with solid mahogany carvings. The upper piece above the marble is solid mahogany. There are areas of missing and damaged veneer on the base. The drawer pulls are not original. And the drawer locks have been removed. One of the pads(back left) the base rests on is missing. The spindle detail on the left side of the base under the marble is missing. There is some silver loss to the mirrors. The marble has some staining and a few scratches that don't detract from the piece. The dimensions are 46" wide x 21" deep x 74" tall overall and 39" tall to the top of the marble. AMERICAN PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE BUFFET/SERVER/CABINET This listing is for an Antique Server. It has been in the owner's family for the last sixty years. It comes from a household filled with many Country/Shaker/ Mission/ Primitive AUTHENTIC antiques. It is beautifully hand carved with spindle legs adding warmth and usefulness to any home. We are not experts. And after much research we are still not certain if it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is NOT a reproduction. It has a solid Primitive Americana look and feel. It seems to be either Jacobean or Tudor in style. There are some numbers stamped on the back. Some finishing nails and flathead screws were used in it's construction. The drawer is held together by dovetail grooves. See photos) There is some wear. But there is no evidence of any repairs or restoration. We ... morehave the loosened knob to a cabinet door and it will be included with the item. There are no broken hinges. Both doors open and close beautifully. There is a blemish where a child once painted a face with a magic marker at the top of a back spindle leg. See close-up photo. The server is a deep honey brown in color. In order to bring out blemishes. Some photos were taken in a bright daylight. Most of the photos were taken in different types of light. With two different cameras and on different days. The color may be inconsistent in the photos. But this provides a more informed look at the item. Dimensions: The Server is 37& 1/2" tall at the front. It is 44& 1/2" tall at its back. This includes the splash guard& back spindle leg. It measures 38" wide/across and 16& 7/8" deep from front to back.
