It has a great crest on it. The overall size is 54 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 39 inches high to the marble and 96 inches high to the top. The door compartments are divided with a shelf on each side. There are some specks of white paint on one side where someone must have splattered paint when painting a wall that I am sure would clean up. There are a few pieces of molding missing that aren’t anything major, but I wanted to mention it. Other than three or four little sections with the molding issues, it is in really nice condition.

Interior side shelves measure 17 inches long and 7 1/2 inches wide. 2 side doors swing out to the side. Main body interior is 16 inches deep by 48 inches long by 30 inches tall. 2 front drawers with two side drawers. Swing out to the side as shown! Solid oak everywhere! Even the drawer linings. Draw sides and back are all oak and not an inferior wood. The interior is all oak. The doors lock but I have lost the key! Currently all the doors are unlocked! Inside at the back somebody cut a hole out. Not sure why that was done but it is there! The only newish part is an interior shelf which is in the main body. I believe it is still solid oak but it lacks the patina of the original. The glass is not damaged anywhere. The marble has exquisite shading and color. With pink, grey and purple variations. It has light scratches on the top and minor tiny chips on the edge as expected for a piece this age. It is not broken anywhere! The carvings are so wonderful with urns. Horns, ribbons, roses, tassels, swags and leaves. Both front panels have cracks on the decoration as seen in the photographs. Very reluctantly for sale! Here is a hard to find square Pennsylvania Pine Sink from about 1850. I purchased this about 30 years ago at the Ann Arbor Antiques Market. It has been in our home and used as a great place to conceal a stereo receiver. Tape deck and and turn table. The photos should tell you about its overall condition which is excellent. 1800's Solid Cherry Marble Top and Backsplash Buffet, Server, Washstand
You are bidding on a beautiful solid cherry very unique piece of furniture. I have been using it in my foyer for years but it could be used for a sofa type piece behind a sofa that didn't sit against a wall. It would make a nice buffet or server in a kitchen or dining room. It would be great used as a vanity in a bedroom or bath but it would be absolutely georgous with a sink mounted either in it or one of those kind where the bowl sits on top of the cabinet. It would be great. If it would fit in my bathroom I wouldn't be selling it but unfortunately my bathrooms are all way to small. Please pay close attention to the photos. They are self explanatory. There are two deep drawers that will hold lots of stuff with beautiful brass handles. The drawers are made of solid oak so they will be extra sturdy. Here is an exquisite. Massive, Antique 19th cent. American(probably Horner) quarter sawn oak sideboard buffet server. Straight out of a Long Island estate. Was in the same family for 70 years. This piece was made around 1880 and represents carved oak at its best. Incredibly carved with lions' heads. Paws, ribbons, and scrolls. Doors are all carved scrolls with center cartouche. They are separated by 2 columns of carved ribbons and fruit. The drawers above have handles of lions' faces. The top is crowned with an incredible lion head. The only condition issues are a small ring stain and a darker area on the top front right. Also a thin slit in the wood appx 18 inch long. These are very minor and can easily be fixed. Federal Server 3 Drawers Mahogany Veneer Square Tapered Legs Key C. 1875
Stunning period server. Fresh out of a local New England estate. The piece sits on four lightly tapered square legs. There are three drawers, as well as a gorgeous Mahogany top. The largest drawer features a pierced backplate. And has its original key. The locking mechanism still works. The backplate is surrounded by Neoclassical ring pulls, in a gold tone, which are repeated on each of the smaller drawerfronts. The server is in good estate condition. There is some staining to the legs. As well as a few nicks from wear. The drawers slide smoothly in and out, and feature hand finished dovetail construction, supported by small nails. The veneer has some wear to it, and there is a crack by the backplate of the largest drawer. This is purely cosmetic, and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece. Hard to find, triple-mirrored dressing table, includes 2 drawers and mirrors that swing in on each side. Drawers work fine, have dove tailed joints. Mirrors in good condition. Style of this vanity has influences of Mission with the straight lines, and also Empire with the curved scrolled front legs, typical of a late 19th century transitional piece. 1930's Oak Cloud Back Buffet Server This estate item is ready to use as is or spruce up to your liking! It is beautifully grained Oak throughout. Most of the piece is constructed with thick Oak Ply and case frame is solid Oak. Secondary wood is Birch. Has beautiful Cloud Design Bevel Mirror. There are neat deeply colored marbled Butterscotch Bakelite vertical pulls on all drawers and doors. This buffet was used so it does show wear here and there. There is some loss of finish on top from people leaving drinks where they shouldn't(photo 11) and there is slight mirror backing deterioration along edges(photo 4) if you look closely. It is French from the 1880's- 1920(French revival period? It is solid oak or walnut It has brass hardware Also noted is that there are no known problems with the piece- nothing on it is broken. One key is included The hutch is 8 ft high. 21" deep, and 57" wide at the widest The bottom part is 36" high by 52" wide There is one shelf inside the bottom part and then the bottom shelf. It measures 15 1/2" deep The top part is 51" high by 52" wide. The top part has 2 shelves inside plus the bottom. These shelves measure 9" deep. Outstanding! Beautifully Carved, Quarter Sawn Oak, RJ Horner Sideboard Must See!
Beautiful. Heavily flaked quarter sawn oak sideboard in the manner of RJ Horner. Pics tell most of the story. Measurements are as follows: 84"W x 69"T X 24"D. Weight: approx. 150-200lbs. There are a couple of small trim pieces where the backsplash meets the base that are missing, a couple that are loose. The top section of the backsplash has seperated and a couple small pieces of carved trimwork are missing as a result(can be seen in the pics) There is a small a chip on the front left edge of the table surface. One of the locks is missing from one of the doors and there is a stain on the top that can be clearly seen in the photo. Im sure there are other bumps/bruises but nothing glaring. All that having been said, this piece is really stunning in person and all of the condition issues are fairly simple repairs. The flaws I ... morementioned are only noticed upon close scrutiny and have never been pointed out to me by anyone who has seen it in person. Original finish is in good shape, just as it appears in the photos. The color, in person, is probably somewhere between the lightest and darkest photos. The carving on this piece is AWESOME! The quartersawn grain is heavy and pronounced. Bought this piece and the matching server, which I will be listing soon) to restore but I am out of time/space. I feel I have a reasonable opening bid on this piece but if it does not sell, I will restore it and the price will go up considerably. Personally, im kinda getting burned out on the figurals and winged griffins that usually adorn pieces of this quality so its nice to see a great piece without that typical subject matter. Combine all of this with the paneled sides and burl insets and carving to create an elegant piece of furniture. This piece is in solid. Sturdy condition with aged patina and only some minor age appropriate wear and flaws. Total measurements: 88" tall x 58" across and 23" deep. Top piece: 52" high. 55" across, 15" deep. It has three shelves with plate indents in the back. The shelves are adjustable all the way from bottom to top. The bottom piece is 36" high. 58" across, 23" deep. The front drops down to display green felt on the base and storage in the back all of which could be used as a writing table or for sorting dishes and flatware- green felt has some marks- see pictures. The bottom doors open and has"saw tooth. There are no shelves for the bottom piece. I haven't seen them during the 45 years that mom had the piece. 18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the time of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes ... moreI attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. This is a pair of 18th century carved oak caryatid figures modeled as Faith and Hope. Each figure is modeled wearing a draping robe with an openwork basket balanced above the head. One contains various musical instruments and the other contains fruits and flowers. Measurements: 25 3/4" high x 3 7/8" deep x 6 1/4" wide Each weighs roughly 5 pounds Condition Notes: The figure with the fruit basket has an old restoration to the neck and several areas that show wear/rubbing. Having just been restored by my very experienced restorer(50 years) it is consequently in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use in the home or for retailing in a prestigious showroom or fair. The second thing that strikes you about this buffet is the colour and patination. The cabinetmaker that made this buffet chose some very good quality timbers for the job. This has resulted all these years later in a buffet with a gorgeous soft rich warm colour and patination that can only be attained by mahogany of this age and quality. Thirdly are the proportions. The design of this buffet is just right and the buffet benefits from having a good balance.
