Vintage HEART SHAPED Sewing Floor Basket Stand RARE! 1930s to 1950s Wonderful wicker sewing basket in the shape of a heart. The stand's top heart has a compartment for all your sewing gear and a lower shelf for accessories. I was told that the lovely basket belonged to a distant aunt and that she had it for quite some time- so we believe it dates to the 1930s to 1950s. It recently was a highlight on a sunporch filled with vintage and antique wicker furniture. The basket is approximately 25" tall. 14" across and 15" to the pointed end; it has spring hinges on the lid. It is in wonderful condition for age and use; although we believe it has always been white- we believe it was painted in recent years(as the hinges are now also painted) The top has always had a slightly lobed/ curved shape to it; however. It now no longer ... moresits flat or completely closes flat(pictured) The aforementioned hinges are no longer tightly springy and there is minor and minimal reed damage where a small bit is missing here and there. Lastly, there is one curlyque on the front leg that is missing the lower curl(please see pictures) None of these detracts or distracts from this unique basket stand! It is pretty to look at and will be a great addition to a wicker collection. Sewing box collection or as a nice little chest to hide all your treasures.

Antique Wicker Sewing Stand Graceful Queen Anne Legs
This is a lovely antique wicker sewing stand. I think that the gracefully arching Queen Anne legs are especially beautiful. It has a bail handle. And four little metal foot covers on the feet. The stand is missing a few of the curly q's, like they usually are, and some breaks and small repairs in the wicker. There is a partial separation in the handle from age, it is still strong, not weak, but it looks to me like it started to separate over the years from age, it won't come apart, just want to mention. This belonged to my great aunt. And she kept a little basket with her sewing things in it. I think because it is so old, it would be good to keep something in the actual basket portion so things don't get caught in the wicker. Nice old piece, full of character. With the handle up. It approximately 35 inches tall, with handle down ... moreit is approximately 28" tall x 18 x 14. This would be pretty just to display something special. ANTIQUE PAPER & EMBROIDERED SILK LARGE SEWING BOX JAPANESQUE c.1910 CRANE EGRET
A very unusual large antique paper and silk round box. With screen printed and embroidered egret and landscape scene medallion on the lid, and beautiful damask silk lined interior. The paper edge of the lid is stencilled. The box has wear throughout commensurate with age including stains and discoloration, superficial tears to the paper on the lid rim, and the silk decoupaging once on the paper rim of the lid is now almost gone. There are some fine tears to the silk on the lid, and fraying to the embroidery. Fabric trim scalloping around the silk medallion on the lid needs reaffixed. Vintage Green Hoffritz Cutlery or Sewing Box Made in U.S.A. New York, N.Y.
This listing is for a vintage(what I thought was) sewing basket or box. I have 2 of these. A green and a red. On the bottom of the red one is a sticker that reads: Hoffritz for Cutlery New York. N.Y. It still looks like a sewing basket to me but it wasn't built with a basket handle. This one comes with a key that is dangling from a string. The case is about 10" x 10" x 4 1/2" It looks like leather but I can't tell if it is leather or not. The bottom is like particle board and is stamped: Made in U.S.A. English Late Georgian Painted Tunbridge Ware Sewing Box
Pretty as a picture. This wonderful Georgian Tunbridgeware sewing box is painted all-over with a pink Rose and foliate design. In the form of a basket, the box has a delicate folding swing handle. The box is lucky enough to retain the original pink paper lining both in the upper compartments and drawer beneath. The top of each lidded compartment is crowned with a velvet covered pin cushion. An absolute joy in exceptional condition, two old imperfections to the lid(see photo) stable, not going through and insignificant but mentioned for accuracy. 7" x 4 1/2" x 6 3/4" to top of handle. Neat Vintage Sewing Basket,
I have a neat old vintage sewing basket. The handle on it may be Bake-lite but I think it is just a hard plastic. The weaving on the basket is very intricate and well done. It is in pretty good condition. It has a few breaks in the weaving but nothing serious. It is clean on the inside and could still be used for sewing articles. It measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter and the depth of bottom of basket is 3 1/2 inches. The ring and decorations that are the handle of the basket top are tied on with yarn. Brought to you from a private estate a box from A. Kohn& Co. Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin circa 1860's This company was founded by Abraham Josef Kohn. An immigrant to the US from Germany 1795-1867 In the course of my research into the history of the men's clothier companies he established in Wisconsin I found that he re-located to Chicago and was the benefactor to the building of Chicago's first Synagogue which I believe was Kehillat Anshe Maarav. The box measures 5in X 3in X 5in. Decoupage image on the front is German in style. Children frolicking in late 18th century clothing. Could be of great signifigance to a collector. Welcome to my auction 1920 Art Deco 1940 Beautiful Sewing Box* Art Deco* I am offering a very exclusive and luxurious European sewing box manufactured during the era of Art Deco(1920-1940) in Germany. This little museal masterpiece. Which can also be used as an utensilo, has been hand-made in many hours of work. The surfaces and edges of the wooden parts are covered with a layer of finest shimmering silvery grey colored pyralin, while the knobs are made from bright orange colored bakelite. The inner parts are covered with a velvet like red fabric. This unique box is in a good used condition with small signs of age and usage. It is stable and opens smoothly. In two little areas. Parts of the pyralin layers have gone missing. Those areas have been painted with a matching silvery gray color. At some edges the pyralin had to be carefully glued ... moreback to the wood. I swabbed some of the dirt but I guess the correct thing would be to unmount the inner lid fabric and do a fast soap and water rinse. 10 1/8 inchs widest diameter. 4 inches in height. This is an absolutely FANTASTIC antique Victorian wicker sewing basket from the 1800's which is a real PIECE OF FURNITURE! It is more than likely ONE OF A KIND! It is HEAVY for what it is and has two strong handles. The wicker is painted white and has so many INTRICATE designs in it that it is UNBELIEVABLE! I don't know what the different designs are called. In all the 40 years I have been doing antiques I have NEVER seen anything like it! It has a large deep compartment on top with a lid with a latch(solid wood floor to it) and underneath is an open compartment with a wicker floor. Piece measures 27" tall to the top of the handles and 25 3/4" to the top of the closed top compartment. It is 22 1/4"handle to handle. The covered top compartment measures 16 1/2" by 14" deep. Inside is approximately 16" by ... more13 1/2" and 5 1/4" deep. The bottom open area measures approximately 13 1/2" by 11" and is 3" deep. No maker's mark. Good condition with some wicker missing from one of the handles and one strand separated on the lid. Paint chipped in a few places but not bad. For pills or notions, is dated 1804 and measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 5/16" The hammered lid with repousse work has an unusual design, open to interpretation but looking very much like facial features with other work on either side of the central motif. Singer Puzzle Box No.11 Attachments For Machines 27 28 Screwdrivers Stiletto
This is a set of Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Attachments in an Oak Puzzle Box. This is the Attachments Style No.11 for use on Model Nos. 27 and 28 Machines. One of the pictures shows a picture from a page of the instruction manual for the attachments. The photocopy of the booklet page from an original booklet is included with the puzzle box. You can see all the attachments match the pictures. The attachments can be seen in the photos. It is interesting to see as you look at the close-up of the pictures that most of the attachments are identified with stamped numbers and their position holders also are stamped with the corresponding numbers. In this Style No. 11 box. All the numbers are 5 digit numbers. You can see these numbers in the close up pictures. Numbers 1-6 are stamped on the hemmers and holders, 7,8, 9, 11, 14,15,16,17,18 and 19 ... moreare stamped on the holders. All parts are in good condition. The ruffler is stamped with Singer U.S.A. The velvet interior is a rich dark purple in good condition with no tears. The outside of the box is a beautiful golden oak wood in good condition with normal aging for 100 year old wood. The box is stamped with a patent date of February 19. 1889. The puzzle box is very interesting with its four quarters which fold out flat. It is this design that Mr. Griest patented in 1889. This box is solid with a nice original finish. Hinges are brass and in good working order. The closing clasp shuts well. The closed box measures 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" The outside and inside of the box can be seen in the pictures. The box was found with a business card of an attorney from New York 17. N.Y. OAK Box Wood Antique 1889 SINGER Sewing Tool Case Lined Collapsible Folding
This is a very old wooden box that contains old Singer sewing tools for a Singer Sewing Treadle machine. On the top. It indicates"Patented 1889 February 19. Inside, it is felt lined in deep purple or dark brown. It has metal catches or holders which are numbered-1 thru 6 along the metal band in the center with 6 tools attached to those areas with corresponding numbers; 7, 8, and 9 tools would be on a harp-like shape, etc. I don't know which tools belong on those numbers or on the other places inside. I believe the highest number is 18. I don't know if all the tools are present; some don't have numbers on them. I did find some that have these numbers: 25542, 26152, 25533(all of them like they are what you call a foot tool? One part has what looks like FBC on it with a vertical line between each letter as well as before the"F. ... moreOne part is loop handled with a point at the end; another has a serrated edged knob on the top, another looks like a window scraper(for ice) which has a bit of surface rust on it. Another has an"S" shape to part of it. The large part, also with a knob on the top that looks like an iron mangler(you can even press down on the loop handle and it moves downward-you can tell I'm not a seamstress) another has measuring marks on it and also looks like a"foot" tool and says"Singer" on it along with a large"S. There's another tool in there that is slipped into the slot for#26034 which has a knob on it, too. I count 17 parts altogether. I don't know if what I have in this box are original to this box, but I have no reason to think otherwise. I don't know if the tools I have are broken in any way. Hopefully, you can tell from my pictures. If you need additional pictures, let me know. What makes this oak box so interesting is that the box collapses or folds. Every late 1800s Singer Sewing Machine was sold with one of these accessory boxes. Box is clearly stamped with the patent date— February 19. 1889 and contained all the attachments for the Singer Sewing Machine. This fingerjoined box has a wonderful warm honey color. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/3” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up, snaps shut, and is lined with its original red burgundy velvet. Velvet is in excellent condition— color is strong and there are no splits or tears. From what I can see from the last picture(a reprint of the original manual for the#11 and#27 Singer Sewing Machine) a few items are missing, but still more complete than most listed on eBay. THE INSIDE HAS THE SAME FABRIC ON THE BOTTON AND SIDES AS THE PIN CUSHION, WHICH IS IN PRETTY ROUGH SHAPE, LOOKS LIKE IT MAY HAVE GOTTEN WET. I believe it goes to an antique Singer Treadle sewing machine but I don’t know for certain. I can’t read the exact day. Maybe you can see it in the photos, but it starts with the number 18? maybe 1889) It also says Patented and what looks to read February but I truly cannot make this out. Still and all. It is very old and I’m hoping someone can make good use of it and/or buy and resell it after cleaning it up. I did notice that the box has what I think are called dove tail. Also. I am not sure exactly what it was designed to be used for. But my guess would be a luggage rack. It is missing the straps or fabric piece that once was secured to the top rails; there are holes along the outside edges of the rails where the straps ... moreor fabric was once attached. As shown in the first photo it measures approximately 14" tall x 15" wide from side to side x 15" deep from front to back. There is a maker's name on the bottom of one of the rails but it is hard to read; I can only make out the words: GARDNER, MASS. This rack is in solid. Sturdy, secure condition. The wood has a lot of character with a nice patina. It has a rustic look to it with lots of wear and age. Other than already mentioned, I don't see any other damage to the wood. The legs swivel nicely and the hardware is in good working condition. With new straps. This rack will make a charming stand that will have many decorating possibilities! Victorian Prison Art Tramp Art Sewing Box
This is a mid to late 19th century work box/sewing box that falls under the category of folk or tramp art. It is made out of thousands of inlaid pieces. The drawers have been repaired or remade along the way. It is mirrored on both sides of the lid and the inside of the lid is a pin cushion. There is wear to the wood in parts and the original lining. It measures 23" long. 6" tall and 14.5" across. There are color markings on the box a and I don't know the origin of these. It looks like a felt marker was used to draw a design. Unfortunately it looks like a child or someone tampered with the box in the 20th century. There is a piece missing on the edge of the lid: a chip 3/4" long.

Antique Sewing Basket Tea Purse Woven w ornate handles figures
Up for auction is this very ornate basket above. Originally a sewing kit. The basket would also make a wonderful purse for those of us out there who have caught the vintage bug! The weaving looks beautiful. I do not see any holes in the body of the piece. The handles, latches, and hinges appear hand made, and thus, if you are not careful the lid can set askew as seen above. A simple gentle hand and it slides right back in place. The seven figures on the body of the basket seem to be a mixed media of paper mache and cloth. The faces on the figures are about 80% gone. The costumes appear to be an oriental printed crepe or silk. But i can not promise the composition, this is just my guess. Some of the dresses have begun to unravel, but it somehow adds character to the piece. The latch is large and the hinge looks somewhat hand done- As do all ... morethe findings. This is a nice set of 3 Victorian walnut drawers with case from a sewing machine treadle base. They measure 5" wide x 14" deep x 14" high. Overall they are in good condition. ANTIQUE WICKER 8 1/2" SEWING BASKET GLASS BEADS CHINESE COINS
Found at a local estate auction.wicker sewing basket decorated with glass beads and 4 foreign coins. I am guessing that the coins are Chinese and that the basket was made in China. But that is just a guess. The coins are round and have square holes in their centers. Beads and coins are attached to the basket lid with string. Basket is in nice condition(see photos to judge for yourself. There are a few straight pins stuck into the bottom of the inside of the basket. These baskets were alway used for holding thread and pins and other sewing notions, but could be used for lots of other uses. The basket measures 8 1/2" across and 3" tall with the lid on. Antique Hand Carved & Pierced Palm Tree Seed/Nut Needle Case
Welcome. Up for sale is an antique Late 19ThC Early 20ThC hand carved and pierced Palm Tree seed/nut needle case in good condition. Great pierced work on the sides and foot. Top screws on tightly. There is some chipping on the top thread. There is a crack on the top of one of the piercings to the rim. Does not hinder the cap from tightening. Fabulous Antique French Lady's Travel Companion With Two Perfume Bottles c.1860
Dating to around 1860. This wonderful cylindrical lady's companion is created from leather with gilded fittings including the clasp to the front which keeps it tidily shut. Once the clasp is released, the cylinder opens to reveal a blue silk lined interior fitted with a variety of sewing accessories including steel instruments and cut bone thread winders. Each end is a caddy holding a cut crystal scent bottle with gilded hinged lid which once opened reveal that they both retain their original cut crystal stoppers, most unusual and quite wonderful. The interior also is lucky enough to retain it's wonderful original maker's label Maison Alph:Giroux/ Paris. 8" in length while closed.
