Antique Vintage Sterling Silver Cut Crystal Rosary Jesus Mary Religious Large NR
Up for auction is this stunning vintage Rosary. This Rosary has hand cut crystal beads and fabulous sterling silver details. The cross and cyrstals are quite large. It is signed sterling twice and the cross also has another mark that I can not make out. It is 27 in long and the cross is 2 1/4 inches long X 1 1/2 inches wide. The cut crystals are 3/8 of an inch wide. The cross has amazing details and the crystals shimmer. This is quite a lovely vintage piece with a quality feel in it's size and weight. Gorgeous Sterling Silver& Crystal Rosary from Italy St. Peter's Vatican 1950 Presented is an gorgeous sterling rosary with crystal beads from Italy. This crucifix is made of sterling silver. Depicting a crucified Christ with a scene of St. Peter's square from the Vatican incorporated into the crosspiece. The Christ figure is actually attached to the cross with little silver pins through his hands and feet. The rosary beads are clear octagonal glass. There is a small silver medallion in the beads showing Jesus on front and Mary on the back. The back is stamped“Sterling. Italy. The little medallion is stamped“Sterling. We would date this to the 1950s. Considering the decoration, it may have originaly been sold in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. The silver is in great shape. There is some slight surface wear. But no dents, ... moreno dings and no other problems. There is some chipping to the edges of the beads, but all are solid with no cracks. This great Italian rosary is ready for use! VINTAGE LOT AB Crystal Rosary Sterling Silver over 10 g 59 beads Oblong & Round
Up for your considertation is the se beautiful vintage crystal rosaries. The one rosary has 59 oblong faceted aurora borealis crystals. The crucifix is sterling silver and is hallmarked sterling and it weighs 10.2 grams. The medal with Mary on it looks to be pewter or silver plated. This rosary measures approx. 22 1/2" long including the crucifix. The only problems I see is it needs a jump loop to secure the crucifix back on. Two of the beads have oxidation on the metal inside the beads, and there are a few beads with small chips or nicks in them. The one rosary is missing it's crucifix and missing 8 beads out of 59. The medal with Mary looks to be pewter or silver plated. The crystals are aurora borealis but look really worn like someone prayed with this rosary a lot and have a few nicks here and there. This rosary measures approx. ... more14" long. The last rosary. Has the more ornate crucifix. Both the medal and crucifix is marked Chapel and Sterling. Has 59 aurora borealis crystal beads. The only problem I saw was one of the beads in between the crucifix and medal are a big chip in it. This rosary measures approx. 21 1/2" long including the crucifix. All the beads that have damage could easily be replaced to make the rosaries in perfect condition.

The magnet does not have a reaction with the metal which is an indicator that the items are sterling. A cotton white cloth has been rubbed on the beads. Crucifix and pendant. which leave black on the white cotton cloth. The beads do not react to the magnet. Without the beads being stamped sterling I cannot say for sure that they are sterling. this is a stunning very high quality antique sterling silver and cut crystal rosary/ prayer beads. the crucifix is very dimensional and has a nice patina from age but can be shined up if desired. the pendant in the middle of the beads is double sided and also very detailed.
