Stunning vintage evening bag with lovely diamond pattern seed bead and bugle bead design. It has a well crafted gold tone frame with inlaid mother of pearl pieces across the top front of the bag. The back has plain beading and a gold trim across the top. This is a fine quality piece that appears to be 1950-1960's era. The beading appears to be in excellent vintage condition with no visible flaws at all. The gold tone frame is a bit tarnished as expected with age. But it just adds to the charm. Fully lined in ivory satin with an inside side pocket. Size is 7" wide by 5" tall(at widest parts) with a 4" drop from the handle which is also beaded. Really beautiful for a bride! VINTAGE 1940’s Small Golden Pearl Evening Bag w/ Beaded Flowers Ex Cond
This little evening bag from the early 40’s is in almost perfect condition. There are no beads missing. But if you look VERY closely, you will see that the pearl finish on a very few of the beads has worn off leaving the pearl-colored glass bead that is under this finish showing. This is not noticeable. But I wanted you to know. The bag is 8 ½” x 4 ½” The clasp is tight and the ivory satin lining of the bag has a single pocket and is very clean. No marks or stains. The color of these pearls has a golden luster too honeyed to call ivory. The front of the bag has 5 white and 3 palest green 5 petal flowers with leaves depicted in clear seed beads. The green is achieved by pale green thread UNDER the crystal beads. So it’s VERY pale. The vines and outlines of the flowers and leaves are stitched with silver lined tube beads. For sale: A Ladies Vintage 50's Pearl Bead Beaded& Sequins Lined Cream Sweater. The sweater is soft but I do not know what it is knit out of. There are a variety of types and shapes of beads. The sweater is sort of off white or cream and lined on the inside. There is no tag so I do not know who made it. I also do not know the size. I am guess a small or medium. At the shoulders where the seam is. It measures about 16 inches across. The sleeves measure about 22 inches long from the top shoulder seam to the bottom. Almost missed it but there is one pearl that may or may not be missing. I say may not because I can't see how the bead would have come off without more following. Description This is a wonderful. C1930'S cream crepe evening gown. It is original, of the period.not reproduction. This dress was found in Florida and has been one of my favorites within my collection, now downsizing. The dress is beautifully beaded with scattered wheat fronds and scrolls that are all over the skirt and detailing the back& bodice. The beading caters to silver accent and is done with short mercury bugle beads, pearls, sequins and rhinestones.very detailed and well-done. Design includes a fitted bodice. Short sleeves with minimum padding at the shoulders, and a huge on-the-bias skirt. There is no label remaining,but there propably was one.this is a gorgeous dress. This dress can be worn and. Vintage beaded applique clear AB and silver with some pearl beads floral 10"
This auction is for a regal vintage applique. It has a big crown shape flower-like design in the center that looks as if it is wrapped at the bottom with its stem or bottom point sticking out. The app lique is covered with clear AB bugle beads with some silvery( the silver is a little dark er with age) bugle beads outlining the design in some areas. A small area of each side of the applique ha s a curved pearl outline filled in with silvery bugle beads. The rest of the applique is covered with leaf designs. It measures 10 inches wide by 4 inches high in the center. Th is appl ique w as made in the 19 80s. This applique is new. But because it is over 2 decades old, there may be a couple of the tiny seed beads that have oxidized/darkened in color. And prong set rhinestones as well as round clear beads and they are all in nice cluster. All the pieces are present that I could see.
