Vintage pearl beaded clutch purse with Eagle on front 3 1/2 x 7" - Japan
This clutch purse is 3 1/2" x 7" in size. Zipper works well, tagged inside: Hand Made- Made in Japan. It is from the 1920's according to the estate person that was selling it. Almost missed it but there is one pearl that may or may not be missing. I say may not because I can't see how the bead would have come off without more following. It is on the back side at the bottom and so very hard to notice. I had to look really hard to find it. Front has a silver bead eagle design. Questions or more photos needed? Just ask. I am offering this vintage. Depression or Flapper Girl era hat. The hat is a cloche style and is made of pale blue felt. It is embellished with lots of small pearls covering it and a pretty pin wheel design with pearls at the right side. The hat is dramatic and pretty but not without issue. There is one large pearl missing as shown in photo#9 and there are numerous little pearls that lost the pearly finish, a few that are missing and a couple that have very small hole underneath them as shown in photo#10. All over hand beading is gorgeous. 9 pearl buttons down the front, beading on the front, down the buttons, on the back, around the collar and on each sleeve. This sweater is in fantastic condition and so well made. Every bit is hand done down to the lining being hand stitched to the sweater. There was no machine used on any part of this sweater. Sweater is Lined. 2 small spots on the inside with some unraveling, I have taken pics. Inside so you can't see them but I felt note worthy. It is 15 inches long and 1-1/2 inch wide including the beaded scalloped edge. It has a hook and eye fastener in front. But the hook part is missing. There are decorative dangles of beads that hang down from the fastener. It is marked on the back label with"Made in Japan. There are no larger missing beads, or none that I can see. There are some little oval glass ones that lie between the pearl beads that have a few missing. This is for a Vintage Antique Stick Pin.Its made up of an Art Deco design with a yellow clear celluloid base and a Off white pearl enamel glass on top.the top section has round 3 mm clear rhinestones.and at the bottom is a teardrop shape that screws on.this works nicely.Pin measures almost 3 inches long( 2 inches and 14 mm long) and 1 inch wide.This is in good condition.with all stones present and full of sparkle.Only flaw I noticed is that there is a slight curve to the pin itself.Please see pictures.
