Each set consists of 2 steel knobs, 2 stamped steel escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with 1 working key, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, 1 spindle with 2 setscrews, and 8 installation screws to fasten the parts to the door. The knobs of Set#2 are similar, not identical(see photos) Originally. The knobs and plates were copper plated and coated with a black lacquer finish(Japanned" however, some of the plating and finish wore off over the years leaving the parts with a nice, distressed look. But I was able to find a newspaper article or advertisement from Salisbury referring to this store and their hats dated 1913. In very good used condition. Comes from a smoke free home.
