Penn Antique Restoration. Antique Y&T Neo-Classical Brass Door Set w/Knobs. Plates, Lock, Key. Elegant. Antique, interior lockset made by“Yale& Towne” of Stamford, CT during the late 1800’s. The set consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 working key, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 3-section spindle with 1 setscrew and 1 securing pin. All brass parts are solid brass. Not plated iron. Originally, all brass parts were copper-plated. All of the plating has worn off of the knobs, however, the escutcheons and lock faceplate still retain almost all of their original plating. The lock is reversible and could accommodate either a left or right swing door. The oval knobs and escutcheons have a beautiful Neo-Classical style pattern consisting of beads. Each set consists of 2 iron knobs, 2 stamped iron escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with working key, and 1 3-section spindle with 1 setscrew and 1 securing pin. Originally. The knobs, escutcheons, and lock faceplates were copper plated. However, most of the copper has wore off over ... morethe years, leaving the parts with a nice, distressed, finish. The amount of copper plating varies from part to part(see"Group Photos" to compare) All of the locks are reversible and could accommodate either a left or right swing door. Y&T made locks that had bigger spaces between their upper passage latches and lower deadbolt latches than other manufacturers. We have a few strike plates(keeper or receiver plates) that match up just right with the locks. But we would have to modify a few more to ensure that each lock has a matching strike plate. Old SANDWICH Glass BEADED GRAPE MEDALLION Pattern Covered Oval Bowl Compote EAPG
This auction is for a scarce antique Early American Beaded Grape Medallion Pattern Glass Oval Shaped Covered Footed Bowl. Compote, or Pedestal Butter Dish by the Boston Silver Glass Co and Sandwich c. 1869. It has a large figural leafy bud finial handle on top of the lid. The bowl, foot, and lid each have 4 Grape Medallions on a stippled background. The stem is connected to the bowl with a wafer. It is in very good condition overall. No cracks. The outer edge of lid has some chips and flakes(photos 11 and 12) are the worst. A few small flakes to inner lid rim and outer edge of bowl, not bad. Good amount of age appropriate shelf wear to base. Usual factory straw marks and bubbles. Finial looks perfect! Very clean and crystal clear inside and out. It will be securely packaged and double boxed. Up for auction is a vintage 1940's oval evening bag. The entire bag is covered with bronze/copper seed beads. It's a beautiful vintage piece. The interior is lined in brown satin.one side has a round small mirror and the other a pocket. It measures 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches and is 2 3/4 inches in depth. The handle drop is 7 3/4 inches. Problems include: The mirror is not in great condition but can still be used to view your make-up etc. One side of the strap is a bit twisted under the beading.The first pictures show the true pretty bronze/copper/brown color. The 2 piece set is known as"Hens On Nest" The iridescent gold glass has beautful pink. Purples, blue and green highlights. It has a beaded edge and is not marked. Size: 7"w X 5 1/2"d X 5 1/4"h- approx. dimensions Quantity: 1- Hens On Nest Condition: VERY GOOD- it shows minimal wear(5% and the only issue I can see is a bit of a mystery. There is a section on the innermost lip of the"nest" that appears to a rough mold line or straw mark that is finished over. There is a roughness when I run my finger over it but I am pretty sure it's a factory flaw- see photos although it was tough to capture. The affected area measures approximately ... more2 1/2" There are the usual pin dot bubbles. Straw and uneven mold marks- manufacturer flaws. It's still a great piece to use and display. I always pack items carefully and am happy to combine shipping. When possible and refund difference in costs after packing. I list items that are in great, usable condition. The exception would be an item so beautiful or rare that still has value as a decorative object.
