This auction is for a wonderful antique handmade faceted glass iridescent beaded trim. It is quite rare to find this extraordinary shade in this type of trim. It is usually found in opalescent white. Clear glass or clear/white with mercury lining. It is so rich in appearance and its colors are in shades of greens, purples, blues, etc. It changes depending on how the light hits it and how it is handled. This is a delicate, lightweight trim and I believe it has never been used. It is in great condition with no bead loss that I detect. The beadwork is done on a green cotton threaded base. The underside looks like a tiny ladder with fine threads going across. It measures about 22" x 7/16" in width total(includes tiny beaded picots extending from the 3/16" cotton trim base)

This is a lovely beaded bag found in a Trousseau chest in a small town in Quebec in around 1990. I was fortunate enough to vacation through the Dakotas and on to parts of Canada attempting to find farm sales. Estate sales and the like. This was what I loved at that time of my life. Now, what I like to do is SELL all that I've accumulated. The estate sale where I found wonderful textiles and other goodies right up my alley. Everything in the chest could be dated from 1900 to 1925. THIS BAG WAS PLACED IN THE CHEST AFTER IT WAS MADE AND NEVER USED! In fact, the chest and it's contents turned out to be the Mother Lode of my entire trip! Your imagination can take you back a hundred years and think about a young woman who filled the chest with handmade goods in"hope" of something that never came. The agents at the estate sale ... moresaid everything in the chest could be considered French since the chest was full when the family moved to Quebec. Look at the photographs for detail, the silk, the color, the beads! Measurements: Laid flat, it's 7" x 7" excluding the bead fringe. Again, while laid flat, the drawstrings with fringe, extend 7" out from bag. The exterior fabric is a woven silk with a geometric design. It's a gold-green. This is a lovely. Beaded/crocheted antique flapper purse. It is a dark mauve/purple color with iridescent glass beads and a grayish twisted silk drawstring cord. The last photo makes the crochet look pink, but it is really purple. This purse measures 7 inches from top to bottom(the fringe adds another 2 1/2 inches) and 4 1/2 inches wide. You can see the discoloration of years has gathered on the fabric, a few open spaces where beads have separated from the piece and there are some repair stitches at the epicenter of the bottom. This beautiful sweater was made in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong. It is in great condition. The lining has a few issues. Just has come apart at the seams on one of the sleeves. There are a few tiny rust spots, but not bad at all. There is no material tag, so I don't know what material it is. All sequins and beads seem to be there. The sweater has 13 hooks for closure. The only flaw is that the atomizer bulb has hardened with age. The bottle is four sided and is beaded along the edges. Has a gold top and a tan bulb. The bottle measures 3" tall and 1 1/4" wide. On the bottom is marked Made in USA. The bottle is from my mother’s collection which she has decided to sell. Please see the photo. Great condition and quality Great vintage piece from the 90s. Sunflower yellow, floral design. Yellow satin lining with 2 pockets. Yellow zipper to close, stands on its own. The beading is clear iridescent over yellow lining. Slight pink, blue shine. There are some stray threads that can be trimmed. Two loose beads but safely secured. No marks or stains. Amazing. Very clean, original piece that has been well cared for.

Please excuse flash on photos. See all specifics below. SPECIFICATIONS: Maker/Item Name/Pattern# Indiana/ USA(YJ724) Information: This is a wonderful glass hen from Indiana Glass. The 2 piece set is known as"Hens On Nest" The iridescent gold glass has beautful pink. Purples, blue and green highlights. It has a beaded edge and is not marked. Size: 7"w X 5 1/2"d X 5 1/4"h- approx. dimensions Quantity: 1- Hens On Nest Condition: VERY GOOD- it shows minimal wear(5% and the only issue I can see is a bit of a mystery. There is a section on the innermost lip of the"nest" that appears to a rough mold line or straw mark that is finished over. There is a roughness when I run my finger over it but I am pretty sure it's a factory flaw- see photos although it was tough to capture. The affected area measures approximately ... more2 1/2" There are the usual pin dot bubbles. Straw and uneven mold marks- manufacturer flaws. It's still a great piece to use and display. I always pack items carefully and am happy to combine shipping. When possible and refund difference in costs after packing. I list items that are in great, usable condition. The exception would be an item so beautiful or rare that still has value as a decorative object.
