Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a lovely IRICE bottle with black& silver beaded topper. The bottle is a clear etched glass. The topper has a central silver ball surrounded by prong set rhinestones. Both the topper and bottle are in excellent condition. I do not see any missing or damaged beads to the topper ~ it is all intact. The glass bottle has no chips. Cracks or repairs. It is also very clean inside and out. It does have the"IRICE" stamp still affixed to the bottle. The stamp says"Japan" but the topper is stamped'West Germany" ~ I don't know much about Irice so this is confusing to me. My thought is that the bottle was made in West Germany under the Irice label but sold in Japan( that's just my best guess) Typically these bottles are ... morec. 1940s- 1950s. The plastic syphon tube is intact and the plunger moves up and down freely. I have not filled it with any liquid but it appears to be in working condition. With the topper in place, it is about 5 inches tall to the top of the highest bead. It is approx 2 1/2 inches across at the widest part. It also still has it's"Presto Mist" hang tag intact. Vintage Japan Beaded Faux pearl and Silver Glass Tube Zippered Clutch Purse
Great little vintage purse was made in Japan. And consists of alternating rows of pearly off-white round beads and silver glass tubes. Surprisingly substantial for the small size. The handle is beaded, as well. This purse does have some condition issues. Making it a great candidate for restoration or re-purposing. There are a LOT of wonderful old beads here. Not so bad that it can't still be used as-is, though. There are a couple of spots where beads are missing. The most notable along the top edge where about 1 1/4" is missing. There is also a spot on one edge missing a couple of beads, and on the other that is missing one. One flat side is missing a bead, shown in photo. Inside is lined in ivory satin. All of which all belonged to my granny whom has passed on to the other side. One of the rings is adjustable(1st ring) The other two are a larger size 11. The beaded necklace has a large glass pendant and measures about 20 1/2" long. I do not clean any of her pieces. I leave all them as she left them. What you see is what you get. A little about my granny. Please read before purchasing or placing a bid. My granny was a wonderful lady and a powerful practitioner of the craft. She taught me about the craft pretty much as soon as I was able to understand. This was normal for us, our way of life. My granny passed a few years back leaving a house full of things which was a bit overwhelming to say the very least. We donated many of her larger items such as furniture. Very minor gentle surface scratching, mainly on bottom from rubbing on table surfaces. Not stamped with maker but without doubt this is.925 silver. Glass is in excellent shape. Some dark spots UNDER surface of glass possibly from age and condensation, mainly above fish's head to the left of his open mouth. Minor. Print has a small amount of lining, again, from age and condensation, but very hard to notice and it is NOT warped or buckled. See pics. This is a pair of otherwise ubiquitous 1960s sterling and glass coasters one can still find on any given day in a thrift shop or sets still boxed in an Aunt's linen closet where they have sat for 50 years since being received as a wedding or hostess gift. THIS pair gives me the opportunity to impart results of my research into the simple"B-I Sterling" mark found on these and other similar items. It appears this beaded rim with starburst glass design. Also made by the Frank M. Whiting Company, was contracted out to the renowned Birmingham England jewelry designer Bernard Instone(1891-1987) in the early 60s. After 40 years of designing jewelry for the royal houses of Europe, Bernard retired in ... more1963 at age 72. One can only guess he made these simple coasters for Whiting, because he needed the money. Any collector or dealer in Bernard Instone jewelry should track down as many of these coasters as they can find. MOST by now have been broken up and scrapped. 4 Short Lengths Antique 1920s Silver Glass Beaded Flapper Fringing Edging Trimming. 4 short lengths of antique vintage glass beaded fringing. Probably originally used on a dress. Hair ornament or bag and perfect for reuse in another vintage inspired project. Tiny silver glass beads on narrow twill. Drop of 3 1/2" approx. Lengths measure 4 1/2" 6" 4" and 7 1/2" Unfortunately. Not in the best condition. The 4 1/2" length is in good condition but the other 3 are missing quite a few of their beaded strands so that there are a number of'holes' in the fringing. However, that said, there are lots of remaining beaded strands that could be reused and they are all secure enough so that no beads fall off during handling. For more great items!
