For your consideration is this lovely Vintage Rosary. The cross crucifix is unusual and very pretty. It has fancy openwork and the center has light blue celluloid underneath Jesus. It measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" The ten Hail Mary beads are faceted blue glass. And the Our Father beads are round blue glass. The medal has a picture of Our Lady, the Virgin Mary with lovely flowers above and below. On the back of the medal are the initials PAX. The metal is a gold color. It could be brass or brass plated. The intermediary medal has an openwork oval presenting Our Lady Mary at Prayer. The obverse of the medal has a shiny finsh. The medal measures 5/8 inch wide and 7/8 inch long. The cross has nicely raised and detailed corpus with a shiny finish on the reverse. It measures 1 1/8 inch wide and 1 7/8 inches long. The necklace portion measures 26 inches long. We have here a Vintage Sterling Silver Rosary. It is a 5 decade rosary with beautiful cut blue glass beads. The cross. Medallion and links are all sterling. Back of cross is marked Sterling and AG makers mark The cross has brite-cuts in it and Jesus on the cross has nice detail. Links and ball spacers are sterling as well as the medallion. No missing beads. Some are chipped or have surface wear. None are sharp! Some appear to be chipped, but have waves in the glass, that was done when made in the mold. Antique French Rosary ? ~ 5mm Blue Crystal Faceted Glass beads Bronze Medal
Unlike many Rosary's I have owned and sold. This one I think is Unique because it does not have the writing on it as most do, and the Medal looks like Bronze to me, The chain may be Sterling Silver but it has not been tested, so im unsure of the metal content, ive owned a lot of Sterling and Bronze, and that is what I think the metals to be, but I can be wrong, The Crystal Blue Faceted Round cut Glass beads are 5mm in size, there are a total of 55 beads and a few of the bigger ones have fancy carved silver caps on them, the Bronze medal is 3/4'long and 1/2'wide, the total length is 15'inches long and the weight is 18 grams, I seen one similar in description sell for $125 dollars, I will start mine cheap and let you decide the value, I have not cleaned this in anyway and it has the original Patina and light tarnish on finish, ... morevery unusual Rosary for me to have with all the commons I have owned in the past'FREE SHIPPING IN THE USA'
