FABULOUS VINTAGE DECO VENETIAN GOLD FOIL BLACK GLASS BEADS on FINE CHAIN LONG NECKLACE Fabulous vintage necklace of Venetian foil glass beads dating I believe to the Deco times. The beads are crafted in shiny black glass with imbedded patches of lighter and darker gold foil. They look absolutely stunning. The smaller round beads are approx 3/8" across. There are six tabular feature beads measuring approx 3/4" x 7/16" at the most. They may vary slightly in size and shape. Each one of these beads is wrapped around with gold tone metal wire- I would say rolled gold(not solid gold) In between are matching black French jet bicones. The beads are threaded onto I believe original fine chain. It has been re-attached in a couple of places- see photos. It looks fine but I have no way knowing how strong it is. This lovely bead necklace is individually knotted. It has two large oval cloisonne beads. 1" x 1/2" surrounded by small golden spacers, and large black square. 1/2" and round, 3/8" beads. I don't know what the black beads are made from, but they are quite light and probably manmade. Not a natural material. At about 32" it is large enough so that it goes over the head with no clasp. It can be worn with the two cloisonne beads wherever the wearer would like to have them hang since there is no clasp to be seen"out of place" As always. I refund any overpaid shipping beyond $ 0.25.
