This One Piece Necklace is Handmade by an un-named Yurok Artisan. The Yurok are from the extreme Northern California Coastal Region. The Choker is Vintage from the 1980's and is likely pre-owned. It is a bit"dirty" from age; the Black Leather and Beads show Good Color. The Choker is 3 Rows with the Beaded strands being 10 1/2" long and 1" high; the Black Leather Strips are 7" long each. And as they are hand-cut"scraps" or"strips" they are Not"perfectly straight. White twine, which shows discoloration from age, is used to string and knot the Choker. The Cinnabar beads have black cloisonné enamel insets that"cap" each end of each bead. The vintage Chinese filigree slide in clasp was made in China and is quality stamped"Silver" it is gold plated. LENGTH: measures about 18.25" long end to end including the clasp. BEAD SIZES: there are 17 cinnabar/ cloisonné beads that each measure about 15mm's(just over 1/2" in diameter.
