Stunning antique edwardian deco filigree brooch pin with black agate & beads
Exquisite old antique filigree pin. With a large cabochon black agate stone in the center. Not marked, assumed to be rhodium plated. At first I thought it was black onyx, but under a loupe I see some red/orange coloration throughout the stone(you can see it in the photos) so assuming it is some kind of agate, or natural stone, just not sure exactly what it is. It is big at about 4 cts in size, bezel set into a sawtooth mounting. Making this pin more unusual than most filigree pins, is there are woven twisted tiny clear beads around this center agate. Under a loupe they are clear, to the naked eye they almost look like seed pearls. Very lacy filigree with great hand tooling and detailing all around with piercing on the edges. Sterling Silver 925 Necklace black and silver Wood beads
hello! here's a sterling silver necklace with wood like beads in nice used condition. the clasp is marked 925 on the tiny bit that opens in when you activate the push"thing" none of the other parts are marked. so i had it tested at my jewelry store. i had the clasp. The short cones, and the links in between the beads. it is all sterling. now there are some tiny beads very close to the wood beads but couldn't get to them. the rest is sterling so i can only assume they are too. the black and silver bead feel like wood. they aren't metal or glass or plastic so my best guess would be wood and again they feel like they are. somewhere in between the wood beads is 1 extra silver roundish link. it is after the 3rd wood bead on the clasp side. i will leave it there. some of the roundish links need to be tightened as they can ... moreundo themselves. i mean it is easy to re-attach them but they could use some tightening. other than that the necklace is nice, simple design but pretty. from 1 end to the other in the opened position is 21" long. shut it is a little longer than 10" long. the beads are about 0.60" in diameter. This is an estate sale find. Beautiful RARE Vintage Bakelite style black beaded tulip necklace. As you can see from the beading and stringing it is very old. The knots are close to each tulip clasp. One with a beautiful patina(second to last photo) It has the original clasp which shows some fading due to age. The blades are approx.75" Lovely rockabilly style.
