A beautiful vintage/antique beaded hand bag. Cream colored satin lining. Metal frame and a 26" chain. 6" wide. 5 1/2" long and opens to 3" Pictures#5 +#7 show a small red dot on the inside lining. I have not tried to remove it. As you can see, it is hardly noticeable. I would consider this bag to be in very good condition. I believe it is from the 50 or 60s, but i am not sure. Look at everything this purse has going for it. A very nice mixture of goldtone and silvertone beads. Predominantly gold. But with a silver pattern between the rhinestones and a silver/gold rope design around the edges. Nearly 500 rhinestones in a great pattern on both sides intermingled with the beads. The mountings for the stones are very well done. Which would explain why none are missing. The entire frame has stones all around it as well. Additionally, there are two pulls that have stones in it too. The frame has a wonderful luster of gold tone. I see no bare areas anywhere on the frame. I can find no signature anywhere. The clasp is well made and ... moreon the interior to make it less obtrusive. One uses the pulls on each side to open the frame. Purse is 4 3/4" wide at top of frame. Purse is 5 1/2" from top of frame to bottom. Top of purse hangs 8" from apex of chain. When opened. Purse frame is 5 5/8" to outside edges. Silk interior is almost entirely gone. This is probably where the maker's tag was. But many of these very old purses have silk issues. There is a slight condition issue at the bottom of the frame in the extreme closeup. Nice 1920's Era Black-On-Black Beaded Purse With Silvertone Mounting & Chain
Nice 1920's Era Black-On-Black Beaded Evening Purse With Silvertone Frame& Chain Handle. Guaranteed old. This purse is covered with vertical rows of black bugle beads on a black crochet base. And has loops of bugle beads on the bottom. The frame is silvertone- I do not find any company markings on it. Lined in black satin. Purse measures 8 1/2" from frame to bottom of loops, and is 5" wide at top, enlarging to 7" wide at the bottom. Excellent condition and quite useable as it is. However, you might want to stitch one side a little tighter to the frame. It is completely attached now, but a little of the edge of the frame shows where the thread has stretched just a bit.
