The front of the wood backing that holds the photo is marked: Photo Frame Cadre Photo Bilderrahmen 2" x 3" Approx. This frame was made in Ireland and purchased there about 15 years ago. It was gently used for a short time and has been in storage since-away from sunlight and handling. This frame has an artisan design- decorated with red and orange colored beads, attached by thin, silver wire to the soldered frame edges. The beads hang in a diamond-shaped pattern. Black and White Cake Stand This auction is for a tall footed cake stand. It is certainly a most elegant way to serve at a party or buffet. Ornate scrollwork decoration surrounds the rim. The pattern reminds me of Tiffin Glass Byzantine or Cadena patterns. The square edges are scalloped. The stem is decorated with three wafers and two balls. This is a really classy design! The plate measures about 11 inches square. It sits on a base that measures about 3 ½ inches in diameter. The cake stand is 8 inches tall. This piece is just beautiful…the only flaw being a tiny fleck of paint missing on the rim. I think this is a manufacturing defect and the ceramic is not chipped. Please check photos of that area. Antique beaded purse ornate filigree (very rare)
Hi all. This is a very rare and special antique beaded purse that I have put up for auction. It has been in the family for a very long time. It does need a bit off the TLC as far as the inside of the purse which is all silk could use a bit of sewing. Also. There are a few beads missing here& there but you really can't tell unless you look up very close at it. I have been doing a lot of research on this purse over the past couple of months and have been in contact with a woman across the country from where I live who specializes in these types of purses. I sent her many photographs. The woman told me that she has never seen this bag anywhere and in her professional opinion is a very rare bag. The filigree metal that frames and clutches the purse closed looks to be silver and is not attracted at all to any magnet. Although the chain ... moreis attracted to a magnet so the chain is just stainless steel. I am NOT guaranteeing that the filigree is in fact silver but from my experience and the professionals I have been told that it most likely is because of the period It was made in and the extreme detail and work put into the piece. Like I said before the inside of the bag is silk and definitely needs a bit of TLC. But all in all it is an amazing collectors purse. Also, the fact that a woman who specializes in exactly these types of beaded purses told me that she has never seen that same purse and that it is very rare speaks volumes to me. Offered for bidding is an ornately detailed hand painted antique plate from Japan. It bears the NIPPON"RC" mark(for Royal Crockery. An early name used by the Morimura brothers of Noritake) on the back in green. This mark indicates the plate was made between 1906 and 1911. It is hand painted with a triangle medallion in the center, and fancy gold, pink and green trim around the edges. The pictures do not do it justice! The plate measures 7 3/4 inches(19.7cm) in diameter. A U.S. quarter is pictured with the plate in the first picture. To give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. There are no chip. Cracks or deep scratches on this piece. There are a few faint and superficial scratches on the front from normal use, and the gold trim shows minor wear at the edges. This auction is for a antique flapper style beaded purse or handbag. The total length of the purse not including the handle is 11 1/2" Which includes the fringed beads. With the handle it measures 17" As shown in the picture some of the beading is missing from one side. In my opinion it is not something that sticks out terribly. I do not see any markings as far as a maker. Even with it's flaws I think it is beautiful& be fun to display on a mannequin etc.

Antique Hand Beaded Purse Handbag W/Ornate Clasp Made in Germany: Multi-color
This is a colorful hand beaded evening bag with a black background and glowing red. Green, gold and blue swirls of color in a sort of paisley design. The bag has a black cord strap and a very interesting translucent brown clasp that looks like horn, but is probably an early plastic material. The clasp is marked"Germany" on the inside. The red lining has a small coin pocket. The purse is 5" across. And 6" tall to the top of the clasp. It is in very good condition. With occasional loose threads showing, but with no obvious areas of bead loss. The stitches holding the clasp onto the purse are loosening, but continue to hold the clasp in place. The clasp snaps open and shut easily. The lining has some shattering of the taffeta cloth, but no large holes, and no major stains. Vintage Victorian Ornate Black Beaded Trim Mourning 2 yds Jet Anthracite
Over 2 yards(75 inches) and weighing almost 1 1/2 pounds is this heavily beaded article of what I believe could be from a Victorian mourning dress. It has about 4 half snaps still attached to the back side where it probably attached to a dress and one end is shaped in a"v" like a belt end. I do not know the exact age. Nor what material the beads are made from. They are mostly shiny and somewhat cold to the touch. The 2" width of the body is flat w/ straight rows of hundreds of small black beads. W/ decorative dangly bead creations(original) that look like flowers to me(see picture for detail) that are evenly spaced in what looks like groups of 3. It appears that a few are missing in part or in whole but is hard to see w/o getting close up. All of this is completely surrounded by hundreds more small black beads all looped together ... morein 4 overlapping rows that hang down and sparkle nicely with the light. The belt itself is sewn together in 4 sections, making this pretty sturdy I'd say. There are no loose beads and no holes that I could see. Quite lovely and in great shape for its age. The chain measures 28" with a 6 1/2" drop. Each ribbed bell bead measures 5/16" long by 1/4" wide. Crucifix measures 2 1/2" long x 1 1/2" wide. Weighs 31 grams. Victorian Ornate 800 Silver Cherub Frame Floral Beaded Purse, Repair Harvest
Antique Victorian-era large micro bead floral purse. With incredible frame. The frame has ornate open work design,with cherubs/ puttis and large opened wing swans at each corner. It is marked"800" and also has a hallmark, but not sure if it's for country of origin, city, or maker. Look at close up in last photo, perhaps you will know. Italy? There are a few large holes in the beading of the purse. Though they do not go through into the lining. There are also other, smaller holes. The inside looks great, with a heavy pink silk lining and a little pocket. Interior has light soiling, which I haven't tried to clean. Beads have a delightful mix or vibrant colors, with quite a few in a silvery beige that form the body. The frame is quite large. Measuring 8" wide by about 4" tall. There is also a double chain, which has ... moreapprox. 11" drop(about 22" long, end to end) Beaded portion of purse measures 9" wide by about 10" to bottom of fringe. The fringe is actually in very good condition. The entire purse weighs just over 400 grams, and the frame itself about 240 grams- a guesstimate by holding beaded section off scale, so could be a bit less or a bit more. A very heavy piece altogether. Being sold"as is" Considering the value to be mostly in the frame itself. The frame does have some tarnish and surface wear, with verdigris showing mostly to one inside corner. I haven't polished or otherwise attempted to fiddle with it. Harvest the incredible frame and the old beads, use the lining in another purse, or repair this and have a real gem. Probably dates pre-1880s.
