Vintage Ornate Engraved Beaded Ethnic Tribal Silver Spike Bangle Cuff Bracelet
I am offering this massive ornate silver spike bangle cuff bracelet that is 4 9/16th inches long. The height on the top from where the bracelet would rest on the wrist to the top of the spike is 1 5/8th inch. The width(measuring across the top of the inside) is 1 7/16th inch and it gradually narrows to about an inch at the ends. The open space where one would put it on their wrist is 1 5/16th inch. On the inner space where the wrist goes. The widest area across is 2 5/16th inch. The total weight is approximately 4 1/2 ounces. This bracelet is not signed by the maker or with an indication of the silver type/content. I have not been able to positively identify its age or origins but I highly suspect it is Berber from North Africa- Morocco. It is vintage and possibly an antique ceremonial jewelry piece. The design is extraordinary with a lovely, ... moreflowing pattern and a double row of beading near the ends. The spikes are enhanced at the tips with round blue stones. I think they are either glass or turquoise. One of the stones is missing and two others are chipped. Aside from the stones, there are some light scratches and dings. The ends of the bracelet on both sides have alot of dimples and recessed areas but I think it was made that way and is not damage. Gorgeous Heavily Beaded Very Ornate Vintage Evening Purse
This estate found purse IS GORGEOUS. The body of the purse is fabulously covered with silver/gray woven material embellished with blue beaded columns and loops up both sides and under the fancy closure. The ORNATE closure is most likely a pewter like metal-it is extremely ornate on both sides. The clamp closes easily and fits nice and tight. The pouch area measures 5" x 6-1/2" and total top to bottom length measures 12" long. Including the chain. The interior is lined with a mauve satin like material with a 2 section open pocket- all in excellent condition. There is no marking on the closure, so I can't guess as to who or when this was made, but it sure looks like it would fit in with the flapper style of the 1920's. THIS AUCTION. This auction: Lovely fabric purse handbag in reds. Rusts, burgundy with silver beading. Frame is elaborate and intricate filigree silverplate scene of people picking grapes. Frame closes and remains closed but very loosely due to the fact that one of the clasps is missing the knob but it was in the pocket inside so it could be soldered back on. The bag is about 10" from top of frame to bottom. The fabric is fraying in several places. The interior is a beautiful satin in good shape and includes an attached leather lined change purse and another pocket. The chain attached may or may not be original to the frame. It has an 8" drop.
