RARE VINTAGE HAR TEXTURED GOLD TONE METAL SQUIRREL W Green BEADED Tail Fabulous
To the delight of collectors everywhere. The mystery was solved recently when Roberto Brunialti, jewelry historian extraordinaire, and Susan Klein, author of several articles and a book on mid-century costume jewelry, discovered that the HAR mark was owned by Hargo Creations in New York City. Joseph Heibronner and Edith Levitt founded the company in 1955, just 3 years after they married. What’s more, some of the most sought after designs, including the dragon and genie pieces, can be dated to April, 1959 based on U.S. copyright records. In the 1960 Jewelers’ Buyers Guide, the Hargo company was listed with an address of 82 Canal Street. Unfortunately, the company was somewhat short-lived. Mr. Heibronner died in August of 1968, which is probably why no records on HAR were found after 1967. This lovely necklace is 16.5 inches with the clasp included. It has polished smooth and alternating satin beads(0.75mm) with smaller spacer beads on each side. It is very well made with extra sturdy wire to accommodate its weight. It was designed. Created, and signed by Napier' in 1987. The clasp is patented. There are no signs of tarnish anywhere on the necklace and it has a high polished look.

It has some shimmer to the fabric as well. It is embellished with beads and gold tone thread and“rope” trim. Measures about 46” in diameter. Condition: There are some loose threads here and there. A couple of the beads are loosely hanging. One of the beaded embellishments on the middle of the skirt has come unraveled and there is a section on the back of the skirt where there is a thread that stands out. I thought it might be a snag. But after looking at it closer…I think it’s a gold tone thread. I’m changing out my color combination this year and no longer need the skirt. Comes from a smoke free environment. Plastic Cream beaded Rosary used with gold-tone Crucifix pre-owned needs repair
Roman Catholic Rosary. The plastic beads look like a cream color to me. You may seem them as closer to egg shell or off white. There metal used for the beads and chain are of two different colors. The heart shaped center connector depicts Mary on one side and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other. Rosary is approximately 18 1/2 inches long plus 7 inch drop. That's approximately 25 1/2 inches long including the drop down. The Crucifix is approximately 2 inches long. Condition: Used. I do not see the normal wear associated with someone having prayed the Mysteries on the Rosary itself; however. The Cross and Jesus show minimal wear usually associated with someone holding the Crucifix in-between their fingers. I do see some tarnishing on the heart and what appears to be a scratch next to Jesus. I do apologize if I missed anything.
