Vintage French France Black Caviar Beaded Bag Purse w Rhinestone & Beaded Frame
This is a vintage black caviar beaded purse with a beautiful rhinestone and beaded heavy brass frame. As you can see from the photos. There are no beads missing from the body of the purse, it is in fabulous condition and the inside is in very good condition as well. The frame has most of its beads and rhinestones, but there are some missing, which I have tried to show in the photos. For the most part, the rhinestones are the kind which are attached to a cloth ribbon and some of them have been lost from it but could be easily replaced I believe. Some of the beads, especially right in the center of where the clasp fits over the other part of the frame, have come loose but only for a couple of rows. The strap is missing on this purse, I do not know what kind it had. Vintage Beaded Handbag/Purse with micro glass white beads and a gold micro glass bead design with a metal chain. The gold tone frame has a intricate beaded design as does the clasp. White satin lining has a logo. Paris, Made In France stamped in gold letters. The satin lining is very clean. The handbag measures 9" wide(bottom) 6 3/4" wide(top) x 6 3/8" high. Each gold bead design measures 3/4" long x 1/4" wide. I believe it is from the 30s or 40s but I am by no means an expert and have not had it evaluated. lots of tiny black beads cover the body, the frame is covered in black and gold beads and little faux pearls and rhinestones that are set in. one rhinestone is missing on the right edge. Antique French, Made in France steel faceted bead beaded fringed purse
Antique French steel faceted bead beaded fringed purse. What a truely spectacular bag this is! It is marked Made in France along the inside of the top frame.The beads are a faceted steel as is evidenced by the few strands of the fringe at the bottom that have rust(see photo's they show clearly) It is 10" long(from top of frame to bottom of center fringe) X about 8" wide at the bottom. The metal chain strap can either be used long at about 27" or doubled over as is runs in a continuous circle through the 2"eyes" on the top of the frame. The latch on top is a push button one. The frame has raised decoration of faceted steel"jewels" the frame has scratches and some light surface rust as well. This is not really disfiguring as you really don't see it unless you are looking with a magnifier. All beads ... morein the purse are in place with none missing, one loop of the fringe on bottom has separated into 2 strands but they appear to be stable. The silk lining is shredded so would have to be replaced for use.

Late 1800s to early 1900s and made in France. Age unverified but period is determined by material used and style of bag. Size of purse bag is 9” long including the collar on top edge(without tassel attached to bottom center) Width of bag is 4.75” on largest part. The main body of the purse is in excellent condition. The flaws are at the top edge of purse where part of the black crochet has been slightly mended. It is under the top edge and therefore not seen. Gathering chain and loops are in tact. The collar and silver beaded fringe are in very good condition. The black lining is there but in poor shape with holes at bottom. This is from my personal collection and I used this purse to ... morehang on the wall. So the inside was not used or seen. The purse chain is intact. The purse lining is stained and would need some restoration or cleaning. The purse contains a small little folding billfold for paper money, ID, or cosmetics, I don't know the purpose. Beautiful details and beading on a lovely purse made in France. Delicate cream and gold beads are carefully intertwined to make a flip up rose closure. On the top metal edge cream and gold beading are twisted on the gold metal filigree. Even with all that beauty the maker designed an 1 1/2 inch of red cloisonne flowers. With green leaves on the vine to delight your eyes. Purse is lined with cream colored satin. The internal pocket is edged in a tiny rope design in gold. Made In France is stamped into the white satin. I believe this is a Walborg purse that had the tag removed. Interior is very clean. With only a few tiny marks. Serpentine chain handle for carrying. The beads are sensual in your hand. Tightly woven and there appears to be no missing beads. With the size of our purses these days it is easy to overlook the subtle beauty of vintage ... moreand high end small purses. There are small tucks in the bottom that make this purse fan open slightly on the bottom so you can get more than a lipstick in the purse. Smartphone, house key, powder and a few trinkets will fit in this lovely evening purse. Is this purse without flaws. Mostly. I would give it a 95 rating. There are a few scratches in the hinge from opening a closing. does not detract. Inside on the satin there are a few tiny marks. Only mentioned so there are no surprises.
