This a great little vintage purse made of beaded woven raffia with dark blue lucite frame and gold chain handle. Clamshell opening with simple top clasp. Made in Italy tag inside. The interior is lined in dark blue grosgrain fabric and is in very nice condition with no rips or holes.There are some scratches and wear to the lucite. But not severe, expected for age and normal use. Part of the frame is visible on one side under the lucite. It's possible that this can be pushed up behind the lucite part, but I didn't want to mess with it and take a chance on damaging the purse. Shown in photos. No other issues with this purse. Antique 1900 Era English Sterling Sliver Clasp Chain w/ Micro Beaded Coin Purse
It has that tell tail stamp of the lion and an R that it is sterling silver and m ade in England. See last two photos for jewelers marks. The chain and clasp are sterling sliver with stamped and filigree designs. There is obvious signs of wear but will shine up nicely. The beads are in very good shape and they appear to all be there. There are no broken or loose threads. All of the stitching is in tact inside and out. Inside there are two compartments, which is also in tact. A cleaning will bring this little beauty back to life. I will leave that pleasure to the next owner in it's over 100 years of life This is an oldie and a goodie. A very old design. Possibly a REX star. From clasp to bottom of beaded end 4 3/4" x 3 1/3" length of clasp. The total length of bag with chain and purse. It is 12" long. The clasp still works ... morevery well. 2.7 oz/ 77 grams. Turquoise. Unique Vintage Beaded purse (glass?), iridescent brown, chain strap
This is a beautiful unique vintage beaded purse in an iridescent brown bead with a very unique criss-cross design. The purse has an interesting chain strip. A cut work antique brass( closure. It has pockets inside. There are a couple of strings that have lost some beads. I have a small plastic bag inside the purse with a number of the loose beads. Someone familiar with beading could probably fix it. It is a very beautiful purse. The beads must be glass because the purse alone weights 15.2 ounces. It is approximately 9 ½” across the widest part of the purse, it is approximately 6 ½” across the metal portion of the top and is approximately 7 ½” tall. It has a satin lining. The fabric is green with hundreds of loops of black, seed beads. The loops start small at the top and get longer at the bottom of the bag. No lining inside. The frame is non-magnetic and silver-toned. The clasp is very unusual and ornate. Measures 6" long by 4 3/4" wide at the top flarring to 8 1/2" at the bottom. Vintage Blue Iridescent Beaded Handbag Purse w Lucite Top & Chain
Vintage beaded handbag covered with bluish purple iridescent strands of beads. The lid and chain are brown lucite. It's lined inside with silk. Measures 7.5" long x 5.5" wide with 8" chain. Very nice condition, it does look like it's missing some small strands of beads, easily ignored, and it could use some restitching where the fabric meets the plastic top rim.
