Vtg Turquoise Blue Glass Seed Bugle Bead Wide Belt 30"- 43" Adj Chain Beaded Hip
This fabulous fully beaded belt will dress up any outfit from jeans to silk. It is 1 3/4" wide with an adjustable length of 30" to 43" and anything in between as it has an ample 13" long extension chain also made entirely from seed beads. The belt is a turquoise blue/aqua color in transparent glass beads. A combination of seed and bugle beads were used to form the diamond shaped pattern down the middle and swags along the edges. The chain dangles as an adornment when worn at the waist. Or the extension can be utilized to convert this to a hip belt. This sale includes several vintage lamp parts. Eschutcheon part has label on the underside that identifies it from Westgate Lighting. Downey, California, Issue No. D-209,086, Type I.C. A magnet does not stick to it but does stick to the 2 chain links which are attached to it. Diameter of this item is 4 7/8" across the bottom; height is approx. 2" It shows some tarnish. The base piece has beading around the top and is 6" in diameter on the bottom and 4 1/2" diam. across the top. Finial is in 2 parts-the uprising leaf. Might be an acanthus leaf and the beaded second segment. Top segment w/leaf measures 3 3/8" and approx. 1" wide at widest point; second segment(with the beading) is 3" long. A magnet does not stick to either segment. The threaded hole at the end of the beaded section is approx. 3/8" across ... morein diameter. The diameter of the base of that segment is approx. 3/4" The next 2 pieces are rods. One is threaded entirely and measures 2" long; opening at each end is approx. 1/4" in diameter. The diameter of the rod is 5/16" approx. The other rod is threaded at both ends but not in the middle and measures 3 1/4" It has same dimensions on the ends as the other rod has. There are 2 washers. Each approx. 5/8" in diameter. There are also 3 washers or spacers that have a diameter of approx. 2 3/4" each with a hole a little over 1/2" they have some surface rust and a magnet sticks to them. With 15mm Beads, 20” long Strands Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Antique Crystal Chandelier Prisms& Parts We were lucky to find this cache of crystal chandelier parts. Containing the prisms of at least three different chandeliers. The pieces vary in condition and era, but they all appear to be leaded crystal, hand cut. The oldest crystals in the lot have black metal wire fasteners, with nail heads. Many of these particular crystals look old enough to be true antiques, 100 years old or more. These prisms, the spear points particularly, appear to have suffered a traumatic injury, i.e. we think the chandelier smashed to the floor. We culled the broken ones out of the lot, but there are still bits of broken spears attached to some connectors. These old ones have marks of age, nicks, ... morebroken points, which is to be expected considering their past history. On the other hand. The rest of the prisms are in very good condition(no trauma) They bear brass or other metal nail head fasteners, and coiled wire fasteners. All of these prisms put on quite a light show, aurora borealis-style, and filled the room with light and rainbow reflections. We have no marks. No signage, as to makers of these crystals, but they were found in northern Maryland, Hunt Country” a locale known for its old homesteads and mansions. Please see our photos for further details. Contemporary Beadwork III: Zulu Beaded Chain Techniques by Diane Fitzgerald was published in 1997 by Beautiful Beads Press. It is digest sized. Is 44 pages long and plastic comb bound so it lies flat when you open it. It begins with an introduction to the materials used in the book and a short knotting tutorial. The instructions are for eight different beaded chains used by the Zulu peoples. This booklet was in the inventory of a now-defunct bead store. And has been in storage for several years. The back cover has some rub marks from being crammed into a box with other booklets and some of the edges are slightly chipped and squished. There are no interior markings or notes.
