This hobnail basket was made for Levay Glass Company in the early 1980's. The color. Aqua Marigold Opalescent is not seen often. The applied handle is round, clear aqua glass, with a few small bubbles, which formed in the process of manufacture. This piece shows no damage& the opalescent aqua& gold coloring is lovely together. One area of note is on the base portion; the marigold is a bit darker& somewhat uneven on the aqua glass, on one side. It looks as though this also occurred during production, as it isn't due to wear. Around edges word s and graphics for Three Blind Mice. Little Miss Muffet, and Little Bo Peep. Bowl measures about 6 1/ 4" diameter to edge and 1 7/8" tall. Sterling silver pin and screwback earrings with prong-set open-back aqua rhinestones. 3.5" long pin and 1" long earrings weighing 17.5 grams in with some tarnish. The earrings are marked sterling. The pin is marked 1/20 12K which is the mark for goldfilled. The pin was acid tested and it is silver; both pieces are a lite golden color. Goldfilled jewerly is not the same as gold plate. It is made by taking a tube, or a sandwich of karet gold and filling it with a more common alloy. You are bidding on 6 Vintage 18x13 mm Japan Acrylic Cameos. These are really nice. They show a layer of rose that ends up in the middle as a large rose, made of acrylic, very 3-D. Japan, around the 1920's produced alot of flowered cameos and other types. They were unusual, but not that popular then, so Japan was forced out of the cameo business by West Germany and Czech. The color is a Aqua Blue. The molding process of these are just great, no flaws. Jacob E. Bang'Anisgt' Suncatcher Scarce suncatcher or hanging plaque with a naive motif of a figure riding a horse pressed into the surface. Originally designed by Jacob E. Bang for the 1964 Kastrup'Antikgrøn' Antique Green' series of vases and bowls, but were later used on suncatchers during the mid-late 1960s after Kastrup had merged with Holmegaard' This motif was called' Ansigt' These Jacob Bang suncatchers don't feature in the catalogues of the period. And seem to have been of a relatively short run. The suncatcher is hand-pressed. Using a method not unlike pressing a monogram into sealing wax, and necessarily incorporates an uneven look- often including bubbles, swirls and frit. Each suncatcher is slightly different. A Beautiful Vintage Tea Set. Made of heavy ceramic. The cups have an outer layer with holes over a solid interior. They are very pretty and quite thick. Included are six tea cups, six saucers and two covered sugar bowls. The cups each measure 2 1/2" in height and 3" in diameter. The saucers measure 5 1/4" in diameter. The bottoms are marked with the character in the fourth photo. CONDITION: In nice shape. Though a few pieces have some damage. One saucer has a large chip and another has a hairline across three holes on the underside, along with some crazing cracks. The two sugar bowls are in nice shape. One of the cups has a fleabite along the bottom rim. The higher shipping charge is because the set is very heavy. I purchase all of my items at auctions. Vintage Aqua Blue OXFORD Ball Pitcher (Universal Potteries)
Up for Auction is a beautiful Vintage Oxford ware Aqua Ball Pitcher. USA. This pitcher has an ice lip. So you can pour without having the ice flop out. There is a tiny crack about 1/4" just inside the lip where the ice would hit the icelip. Before the water pours out. I have not used this myself, but have had it on a shelf with my other potteries. But have too many now, so am downsizing. This pitcher is made of sturdy ceramic and was made to last. It is approx. 2 1/2 pounds in weight and approx. 8" x 8" at the widest height and width. The front and rear wheel spin GREAT! Front wheel appears to be nice and straight but spokes have slackened a little over the years. It is made of brass and has a center 1/2” moon shaped aqua stone. The intricate design is based on the full sun which is at the pinnacle of the pin shinning on the blue moon. Beautiful Art Deco carved clamshell celluloid ring box in aqua blue with velvet and silk lining. Says"Honor" on silk lined top. Made in USA underneath. 1 3/4 inches high; 2 1/4 inches deep at deepest; 2 1/4 inches wide at widest. The hinges are tight. And the box is clean inside. There is a slight gap in the closing on one side of the back of the box that appears to have been done in the making. There is a very faint red spot on one side of the box- I did not try to clean it.
