Prussian muskets were the first foreign purchased arms getting to the Union forces. Starting in August of 1861 and were sorely needed to arm new Yankee regiments. It's been cut to 30 1/2 inches in length and it's been repaired at the wrist and forearm. Only metal that comes with the stock is the ramrod stop and the first barrel band spring.
