There is no underlying metal peaking out from beneath the silverplate as A1 apparently translated into triple plated. The back of the spoon is"1835 Wallace A1. Amazing cup with fox head as a base. Silverplated cup part. The whole thing is just under 5 1/2 inches high. The cup is 3 inches across. It rests on the fox's ears and nose so that the cup can hold liquid. As you can see in the next to the last photo. Stamped Italy on one side of the part where the cup is joined to the fox and Gucci on the other side. The cup is very shiny, but there are some wear spots on the outside and inside. Really wonderful. The“L” base of the legs are made from 3/16” thick steel and measures 6 inches long x 1/2 inch wide and are predrilled for mounting screws(screws not included) Wrought Iron legs are 28-1/2 inches long with a 10 degree angle x 1/2 inch diameter round and weld joints are strong.
