VINCENT JAMES PLATERO VINTAGE HANDMADE STERLING SILVER 45 1/2 INCHES CONCHO BELT
Up for bids is a beautiful authentic handmade vintage heavy sterling silver concho belt by Navajo silversmith Vincent James Platero. This is an earlier design belt featuring 12 oval panels of sterling silver. Each of the conchos have the same intricate design. The buckle measures 2 3/4 inches long by 1 7/8 inches wide, the additional eleven conchos measure 2 1/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. The black leather belt measures 45 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide, it has four holes more holes can be added to adjust up to the length of the belt. The belt is in excellent condition, one of the conchos has acquired more patina than the others, all have some very light scratches, it is hallmarked VJP STERLING, the total weight of the belt is 3 pounds, 2.75(2 3/4) pounds = 1247.3790175 grams using the online metric conversion, approximate weight ... moreof the leather belt.25 pound(4 ounces) Vincent James Platero's belts sell for well over a thousand USD.
