This is a lovely silver vase made by the famous Greek jeweller. Ilias Lalaounis. The vase is in the form of a classic urn with a wide rim above a pinched neck and oval body. The top half of the body of the vase is chased all round with Greek soldiers carrying swords. The bottom half of the vase has an all over gently spot hammered finish. The vase is 3-1/4 inches/ 82 mm in diametre and it stands 5-3/4 inches/ 147 mm high. It weighs 153 grams. The underside of the vase has clear hallmarks including 925 for sterling. Vintage Haeger tall olive green vase pitcher with a gold Greek key pattern( around middle. Not sure of exact age could be 1970. Marked on bottom Haeger 4070 USA. Pitcher including neck and spout are in solid condition no cracks or repairs. As shown in pictures there are a few chips, rub marks and scuffs. Chip on gold pattern on one side either could be touched up with paint or displayed facing the other way. A few rub marks on handle also could be touched up with paint. Scuffs and scratches on bottom, not seen when piece is upright. This is a beautiful vase. Hand made in Greece. The bottom has a number on it and what I am presuming to be the name of the artist(please see the photo) Wonderful designs and pictures throughout the vase. The material appears to be copper. Unknown date of creation. The top rim has a slight bend. Which was likely how it was made. Looking closely at the vase. There are small areas of paint chipping. As a whole. It looks to be in good condition, but when examined closely, you will find very small spots of paint chipping. Please see the photos. Measures about 6.5” tall. Looks stunning on display!
