The vase is very old and we purchased it years ago at a garage sale. This is the first time I have painted it and I don't think it will be my last. My camera doesn't like to capture red and all I can say is the brilliant rosey colored peonies in the back are painted with permanent rose and a touch of azlazrin crimson and look much prettier in the painting. They peonies and primroses have both traveled with us from house to house over 30 years. The Peonies having traveled through time even longer, coming from the home of my husband's grandmother in Arkansas. Greek Pottery Vase Set and Ash Tray 24k Gold accents
I bought these at an antique roadshow. After cleaning them up they looked very pretty. This set of 4 pieces are hand made in Greece and are lined with 24k Gold accents. I am not sure how much they might be worth. They are likely made in the last 50 years or earlier. Some minor nicks on them. But not significant enough to pitch. They have a slight blue hue to them that the pictures might not show. Gold content has not been verified, but likely not significant enough to add major value, but enough to really make them shine. 2 vases and 2 ashtrays look simply stunning and are probably worth more as a set, but I am willing to sell seperately. They have amazing detail for being hand made. Can't find any more like them anywhere thus far.

Rare ancient greek glass oinochoe form perfume vase antique 5th c BC core formed
You are bidding on a small oinochoe form core formed greek glass perfume vial/vase dating from 4th/5th century BC. In excellent condition with no damage. Height 6.75 cm. There is only very light patination/iridescence on the surface and some slight crazing(see photo 10) I have taken a number of photos with and without flash. STEUBEN BLUE AURENE FOOTED GREEK URN VASE, BRILLIANT IRIDESCENCE~~~~
For auction is a beautiful piece of art glass made by The Steuben Glass Company of Corning. New York. The item is footed Grecian urn vase and it is done in Frederick Carder's most desirable Blue Aurene glass. The vase has some size to it as it stands 6 3/4" tall and is 6" in diameter. The foot has a diameter of 3 5/8" The vase displays that classic footed Grecian Urn shape and it has an outstanding Blue Aurene iridescence that rivaled L.C. Tiffany's Favrile style of art glass at the turn of the Century. The blue iridescence is about as good as it gets. The blue iridescence is pretty uniform and evenly colored. The inside curve in the neck emits very strong fuchsia tones. This wonderful vessel sits on a round foot or platform. When looking inside the vessel it has some of the nicest Peacock Blue iridescence I have ever ... moreseen with a Steuben vase. The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks. Nicks, chips or dings. There are minor scratches on the underside bottom smooth and polished edge but nothing obtrusive. There is a few pencil tip nicks in the iridescent body. There is a counter sunk pontil the sign of a quality piece of art glass. The vase is signed on the bottom above and below the pontil with the etched"Aurene" signature mark along with its shape number"938" which is also etched. This is truly an excellent example and of investment quality. Those of you whom collect Steuben Blue Aurene will surely welcome this wonderful vase into your collection. I'm quite sure the buyer will be happy for many years with their purchase. This piece was made Circa 1905-1920 during the Frederick Carder years. There are no chips. Cracks, crazing, or any other damage to vase. There is some minor wear to different sections of the paint, see numerous pics that document everything. Vase is 10 1/2" tall, base diameter is 3 1/4" top of vase is 4 1/8" in diameter, with center whole being only 1 1/2" in diameter, widest part of vase is almost 5" across. I am sorry i do not know the total history of the vase, it was given to me as a gift many years ago. The A 161 sticker was on bottom when i received it, and never removed. This rare gem is 148 years old TODAY. This is an original Furnival's Portland Vase. The marking on the bottom dates it to the Aesthetic period. More specifically October 13, 1866. There is also an imprint on the bottom that reads" FURNIVAL" on the rim, I could not get my camera to capture the picture. This is a VERY large vase, it measures 11 inches tall by about 8 inches wide at the widest point. There are some flaws, please see all the photo's. The top half of the body of the vase has superb chased Greek soldiers with their spears and the bottom half has a lovely hand hammered finish. The vase is 3 inches/ 76 mm in diametre and it stands 5-1/2 inches/ 140 mm high. It weighs 153 Grams. The vase has clear hallmarks and maker's mark for Ilias Lalounis. In colours of an exquisite bejeweled almost royal amethsyt colouration that darkens to a deep amethsyt or aubergine at its base. England’s oldest glassworks began in 1720 whereby in 1980. Due to the simple fact that the land that it had owned for hundreds of years was actually was worth more than the business, sadly and finally closed its doors. The factory started producing glass from the town of Whitefriars itself and moved to Wealdstone in 1923. In between years it was bought by James Powell in 1834.
