On the bottom of one of the vases there are a few little rough spots around the edge. This does not take away from these pieces at all. Two RARE Enameled Rudy Red Cut To Clear Crystal Glass Vases
This heavily enameled. Handpainted, ruby red cut to clear, pedestal footed vase is most likely Bohemian and could possibly have been manufactured at the Moser factory. It measures 8 3/4" high and the opening is 6 1/4" The rim has scallops of clear glass with a lining of gold. The flared section has handpainted work surrounding four cameos of colorful flowers. The neck of the vase has some more sections of cut to clear circle with line of gold circle. The body of the vase once again has clear glass encircling handpainted gold swirls. The pedestal foot once again has circles of cut to clear glass and elongated sections of cut to clear going down to the thick round foot. Which once again has ovals of cut to clear with floral posies above them. The cut to clear sections are all outlined in gold. There is no chips. Cracks, or any signs ... moreof restoration. The only thing I can see wrong is a few air bubbles in the bottom see pictures. I was always told that my husband's great grandmother had purchased these vases. This are magnificent pieces of lead crystal by Shannon Crystal. They can be used as vases or as candle holders for pillar candles. They do have stickers on them warning to not allow candles to burn all the way down to the crystal. But I think they would be lovely with huge bouquets of flowers in them. Or perhaps boughs of lilacs, pussy willows, pampas plumes or cattails. Any way you would choose to use them, they are sure to make a bold statement. Spectacular vintage c.1930 Czechoslovakian fluted vases with applied crystal rim. These are very similar in appearance to Fenton's Silver Crest glassware and may. In fact, have been an inspiration to Fenton(my speculation. In fact, I thought they were Fenton vases until I found the acid-etched signature on the bottom. The word'Czechoslovakia' is acid-etched on the bottom of each one. This signature is about 3/8" high and almost 2" in length and is printed in an arc shape. Impossible to capture in photograph) These vases are 12 1/2" tall; 10" wide at the top; 4 3/4" wide at the base and have a ground pontil mark. Selling these as a pair.
