The clock is an electric clock but I don't believe this is the cases original clock. The original most likely having been of a wind up mechanism and with deeper workings. The original winding mechanism possibly being fitted into the base as there is a hole in the case here. I am not absolutely sure of the type of wood the case as I am not very good at judging different types but it may be mahogany. It is difficult to put an exact date on the clock as it appears to have some of the Art Nouveau style of decoration as well as of the Arts and crafts period so could possibly be right at the end of the Arts Nouveau period beginning of the Arts and Crafts period showing a combination of the two styles. The electric clock is wired and with plug but this absolutely would need to be checked by an electrician if required for use. The clock does work but is sometimes needs a bit of a jiggle to get it started and as the clock is set deeper than it would be in it's original case it is also a bit of a fiddle to adjust the fingers although it can be done. Other than the above mentioned the clock is in lovely condition showing just one or two minor surface marks but with no chips to the carving. Snips, cracks or damage and with the many pictures giving a good representation of condition and where it can be judged on it's own merit, so please do check these out carefully before bidding. Is in excellent condition, works/runs/chimes perfectly, is completely intact and has absolutely no dings, dents, cracks, pitting, cracks or chips whatsoever with very little wear. The clock was very well cared for by the original owner and was professionally serviced on a regular basis. There is alot of glare in the photos but it could not be helped. The clock is absolutely gorgeous and is very well made. The case itself(not including the stand) measures 5 3/8 inches in diameter and the dial measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter. Including the case. The clock measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 9 3/8 inches from side to side and 3 7/8 inches from front to back. And have collected many over the years. This one has been on my list for repair far too long. If my research is correct, I believe the production of this clock to be in or around 1933. I welcome any information about this clock, did not find any pictures of any like it. Chrome plated. Measures 131/4" tall, clock face is 6" in diameter with a base that is 5 1/2" in diameter. DR. PEPPER 1970 Pam wall clock lights up and works, both forwards & backwards!!!
This auction is for the pictured Dr. Pepper wall clock. Made by the Pam Clock Company, Inc. out of New Rochelle, N.Y. It is stamped dated"8-70" which means August 1970. It's in wonderful condition overall, as you can see in the pics it lights up very well, runs both forwards and backwards(sometimes when you plug it in it will run backwards, I usually hafta unplug it and then plug it back in to make it run forwards, but then again it's cool to have it run backwards to throw people off as well) It has a new bulb and fuse in it. The last two pics show that the"Dr. Pepper" logo at the bottom has some red paint missing after the"r" in Pepper as pictured(there is also a very tiny area like this in front of the"d" in Dr. and on both ends of the logo the white areas just above and below the edges seem ... moreto have a tiny amount of discoloration, it doesn't look bad at all but is noticeable on close inspection) Also the number 10 has a small nick in it. When it runs it is rather loud and has a humming growl to it(the motor that runs the clocks hands) but it has never bothered me, I kind of like it to be honest. The back portion has a lot of scratches to it as you can see in the pics, but the cover goes on and stays on well. Overall, like I said earlier, in wonderful condition, this thing is so awesome and just a super cool vintage piece of Dr. Pepper soda pop history and a great advertising light up sign piece of memorabilia! It has some areas of dirt/dust on the inside, but not bad, needs a cleaning. So just look at the pics and send me any questions if you have them, I will respond quickly. This auct ion is for a 1963 Syroco Atomic clock. This clock has a diam eter of almost 23 inches(about 1/4 inch shy) This is in nic e original condition. There are a couple areas of paint loss. I pointed out two of them in cl ose-up pictures. There is nothing more serious than wha t is pi ctured b ut there are a couple other areas with a touch of p aint loss or pe eling. Bought this in Tokyo in the early 80's. super cool and absolutely authentic. Made in Japan! Not China! You press the robot's head down to set the alarm. When the alarm sounds. The head pops up and you can hear a buzzer or Japanese words saying"wake up! The paper on the clock face has come a bit loose(see photo) and there is some fading around the boots. This is a vintage whirlpool advertising wall clock with second hand and fluorescent lamp back lighting Whirlpool Home Appliances in white and blue with a black background. It is 3 feet long and a 1 foot tall as well as 7 inches deep. My clocksmith and I went through and fixed just about everything inside. We put a brand new electric motor in and was able to use the original Hour and Minute Hands. The second Hand is a replacement but the same color and shape as the original. It just had a different hook up. For the fluorescent lamp to work it needed a new ballast. Starter and electric connectors and bulb. So everything that runs the light is brand new as well. Except the lighting house and case and the wiring where it was acceptable. So basically this is a American Made by Master Marketing Inc out of Elk Grove Village Illinois which is outside ... moreChicago probably around the late 1970's and is out of business at this point. It has been gone through and updated and should run now for decades more. It is a very nice and bright advertising piece that I would expect would end up in a dealership hanging over some examples of appliances made by the number one home appliance maker in the world. Or for anyone else that would like this kind of advertising. It's a clock, it lights up, it is from an American company, it's rare, it has a lot going for it. I tried to find these out there and I found under five and the other three were different than this one. This has the Whirlpool Colors and that's what make this so great for a dealer. It can stay lit all night in the buisness window luring in appliance buyers when they drive by. Plus it was American made and is in excellent condition for being 30 plus years oldish. Vintage 1940's Art Deco Neon Lighted Action Electric Ad Clock W/Revolving Sign
For your consideration a vintage 1940's neon clock. Fresh from a local estate. The clock has a wood/mahogany case with a glass dial. The glass neon tubes are good and light up and the clock runs. The section on the right revolves and works. It has flip card that are made to have advertising on them and change every few seconds. It comes with its original box and I think it has never been used. The clock measures 12 1/2" in height by 23 3/4" in width by 7" in depth. An excellent addition to any vintage clock or antique collection or if you just want to own a really neat old neon clock. I am selling this item with no reserve. Vintage 1977 Caterpillar Filters 26" Lighted Clock Gas & Motor Oil Sign~Runs
For your consideration a vintage 1977 Caterpillar clock. Fresh from a local estate. The clock is made of plastic. It runs but I could not get it to light up. There is damage to the plastic and it has tape holding the front to the back. It measures 25 1/2" in width by 12" in height by 5" in depth. An excellent addition to any vintage advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old clock. I am selling this item with no reserve.
