The clock runs on one AA battery(included) and one 60 watt bulb(not included) With the shade it is 22 inches high. The shade is 9 1/4 by 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The base is about 10 inches wide and 6 inches deep, So far the clock has kept perfect time. The stem that holds the shade and the light bulb is a little wobbly, but you can tighten it more at the base. It sits fine being a little wobbly and does NOT fall over. The shade bottom has some small rough edges and a 1/16th of an inch nick which appear to be manufacturing flaws. It does not have any chips or cracks or crazing I can see. It does have another manufacturing defect on the shade bottom that is a convex extra piece of unglazed ceramic. Almost impossible to see unless you are looking for flaws. See last photo. All my items are sold as is. Carefully examine each photo and use the Ebay zoom feature for close-ups. Ask any questions before bidding. I welcome communication! This lovely sculpture was crafted using the lost wax method. It rests on a black marble base. It is signed Moreau. Many people wonder what it takes to get a finished bronze piece of art or other bronze object. Here is the process the way we do it at European Bronze. Original Art The beginning of the process starts with something to represent what the customer wants as a finished piece. It can be a clay model as in the illustration above. It can be a sculpted or molded wooden model. Something done in metal, something done in wax or any other material that you want to use to begin the process. This becomes the model for the final piece. Making the Mold Molds can be simple or complex depending on the original art. After determine how best to make a mold or molds. We take the original like the one in the previous photograph and create the mold using a silicone material. The original art is placed on a bed of clay(the red material in the photo) When the clay is smooth at the parting point of the mold, liquid silicone is brushed onto the model and the clay as the man is doing above. All coats are done by hand to insure that all the details of the original will show in the final cast. The Mother Mold Because the silicone is flexible.
