Rare Relic Saint Kateri Tekakwitha First Native American Canonized
Antique locket with relic of Kateri Tekakwitha was born 1656 in New York. The daughter of a Mohawk warrior. She was canonized on 10/21/2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. Tons of interesting information about her life and the road to be canonized on Wikipedia and many other sites. There look to be four company name initials on the inside of the locket that looks to be_RSB and then a star. The relic is blue cloth. Kateri's last name is under her first name but somewhat concealed by the inner rim of the locket. I have not removed the plastic covering the image and relic of Kateri and will leave that for the buyer. Please let me know if you have any questions. I imagine this is quite a rare and collectible piece of Catholics and religious folks alike.

St. Brossier was a French chaplain during WWI and six times miraculously avoided death in a hail of gunfire etc. He staunchly attributed these miracles to St. Therese of Liseux of whom he was a great devotee. A spiritual treasure: A beautiful brass angel reliquary with many fine details. Sealed with the red wax seal of a Roman Curia Bishop, 20 cm in height. Rome, ca. 1870. It holds a precious relic* EX LIGNO SS. CRUCIS D.N.J.C. Of the Wood of the Most Holy Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ According to several Church historians of the 4th and 5th century. The True Cross was discovered in 325 AD when Emperor Constantine the Great ordered the removal of a pagan temple built by Hadrian over the site of the Calvary and the Holy Sepulchre. Beneath the structure, in an old cistern, three crosses, the title with the inscription"Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" and three nails were found. In the presence of the Empress Helena, mother of Constantine, the Cross of Christ was identified by the'titulus' and the nail holes, and later confirmed ... moreby a miracle. Savina Petrilli, of Siena, Italy, read a biography of Saint Catherine of Siena that instilled in her a lasting devotion to this saint. Savina thereafter aspired to imitate Catherine's devotion to the Eucharist, the Passion of Christ, and the Church. Following her First Holy Communion at the age of twelve, Savina became a frequent communicant. As a teenager, she was a very active member of a Marian sodality, the Children of Mary. At the age of eighteen, she had the opportunity to meet(Blessed) Pope Pius IX, who, upon learning that she was a native of Siena, commented that she should walk in Saint Catherine's footsteps. Savina saw in this remark a sign ... morefrom heaven that inspired her to found a new religious congregation. This very unusual. Beautiful reliquary with relic of Saint Francis of Assisi was obtained at an estate sale of an elderly Italian women in Philadelphia. Her family said she got it in the 1980's on a trip to Assisi, she was friendly with a Franciscian priest there, the relic was bless in the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, I dont know how old the statue is, its in good shape for its age, some paint missing. I have taken as close up pictures of the relic but my camera is not great, its says"Postulator Generalis O F M Cap ROMA" the statue is 8 3/4 inches high. The artwork in the center of the relic is the coat of arms of the Franciscian Order.

Saint Victricius(French: Victrice; Italian: Vittricio) also known as Victricius of Rouen(c. 330– c. 407 AD) was a bishop of Rouen(393–407) Missionary, and author. His feast day is August 7. Victricius was the son of a Roman legionnaire, and was in the army himself. However, when he became a Christian, he refused to remain in the army. He was flogged and sentenced for execution, but managed to avoid being executed. He proselytized amongst the tribes of Flanders, Hainault, and Brabant. He became bishop of Rouen around 386 or 393. He was invited to Britain in 396 to assist in the settlement of some dispute among the bishops there. He was accused of heresy but was defended byPope Innocent I and received from Innocent the important decretal of the Liber Regularum. In 396 relics of Vitalis and Agricola were sent to Victricius.
