ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN QUACK DOCTOR MEDICAL SHOCK MACHINE. The case is made from mahogany with brass fittings. The machine is in excellent condition and comes with all its equipment. There is a compartment for the equipment to be stored away. I have not been able to test the machine as I do not have a battery. I assume it should work because it is in great condition. Antique Quack Medical Dinshah Spectro-Chrome Color Therapy Projector
This machine was invented and patented by Dinshah P. Bhadiali who produced these color therapy machines in the 1920s. He believed that it cured many different ailments including cancer. He believed by shooting different color lights at certain spots the people could be cured. This machine is excellent working condition. All of the color lenses and clear lenses are intact and still operational. The 1.000 watt bulb still also works. The outer box made of heavy aluminum with some wear in some areas. The cord in frayed and may have to be replaced.

Antique Quack Medical Induction Coil Shock Electropathic Instrument
Up for bids today is what I believe to be an antique Quack Medical Induction Coil device. Perhaps used for"electropathic shock" therapy in the 1930's or prior. There are no identifying marks on this item, but the base is made of wood and the top plate that everything is mounted on is perhaps bakelite, but I am not sure. The dimensions of the piece are 9.75" x 11" and about 3" tall at the highest point. As you can see in the photos, there is some wear, and a small tear in the material that is wrapped around the coil. The induction coil, from what I've read, is for the purposes of applying high voltage, low current to the body. The adjustable rod(second to the last photo) varies the intensity of the shock. Wow I hate to sell this thing. What a kooky. Crazy cool piece of medical equipment. Seems to work exactly as intended. I was dumb enough to put it near my skin and sure enough little electrical impulses jumped from the machine to my arm. It comes on and the purple light runs up the tubes. It shows 6 electrodes in the instructions but there is only the throat electrode and the comb electrode included. I don't think they were ever 6 electrodes in this set because there is only 1 missing hole which would be for the general electrode. This thing is crazy cool I love it. Antique No 4 D.D. Home Medical Apparatus Quack medicine / machine What a Shock!
Up for auction here today is a no 4 D.D. Home medical apparatus. I bought this from a estate sale a few years back for a 100.00 and I am just trying to recoup some of my money. It is missing quite a few different things to actually be considered complete. What it comes with is pictured in the above photographs. And what it is missing is outlined in the condition description. If you are missing a few parts to make yours complete. Or are looking for a box that is in decent shape then this could be the item for you. A couple of good points to mention about this apparatus are as follows: The label is in pretty good legible condition which is more then I can say for some of the other machines I have seen on ebay that have sold. The hinges are in good shape also with no broken flathead screws. With heavy spine wear, some edge damage, paper loss and staining. The cover has detached from the rest of the booklet, and is in two pieces after tearing along the spine. You are bidding on a wonderful VINTAGE MARVEL'S VIOLET RAY QUACK MEDICINE MACHINE. It actually works and is in excellent condition. The cord and plug are good. The comb glass attachment doesn't light up like the other attachment but it may just need tweaking. It is pretty cool and gives a shock in various intensities that you adjust with the knob. Vintage Antique Quackery Quack Medicine Medical Electro Electric shock machine
This is a strange old piece of"medical" quackery. I don't know much about it other than it was in my parents basement and they are cleaning things out like the many late 1800's and early 1900's blueprints I had for sale and the glass negatives. The man who used to live there had several strange things like this that we are finally getting around to selling. My dad said this actually works. Or at least gets current through it, but we don't really know what it does. There are no markings with a name that I can see. The front of the box has a pretty scrolled silver lock(that works) and the box opens up to see the handles with the electric cords and the knobs and whatnot. The box itself is a heavy wood and measures about 9" tall. 7.5 deep and 6.75 wide We would be interested in learning more if you know what this ... moreis just for curiosity sake. 1930's Medical DENTAL Quack PUMP or BELLOWS, Cast IRON & STAINLESS - STEAM Punk
Up for auction is a great old medical piece which looks to be a pump or maybe a bellows of some sort. Its of very high quality manufacture and consists of a stainless primary outer cylinder along with its cast iron base assembly. When the handle looking upper crosspiece is pulled upward while the base is held in place. The inner air chamber will fill up with air if the stainless valve is in the open position. Some slight leakage around the inner seal starts bleeding off the air intake if valve is kept closed. Three legged cast iron base with the original thick black paint typical of 1930s era medical instrumentation. Top cap is also cast iron and has a stainless crosspiece which I'm calling a handle. Also a great looking stainless valve assembly located on the top plate. I can't find any markings anywhere but is of very high quality ... moremanufacture- I though probably of German origin but the screw threads which hold the stainless cylinder to the base are imperial 8-32 standard machine threads. So I'm thinking US made. Unit appears to be in excellent overall condition. Pump mechanism does try to hold air as intented. No real damage anywhere. Pretty clean condition. Too. Overall height is about 11-1/2 inches when pump is collapsed. About 15 inches when chamber has air inside cylinder. GREAT STEAM PUNK Piece! Please. Ohio by Marty Associates This is in Great Working Condition the bulb moves up and down to adjust the heat and there are 3 settings for the vibration. And the manufacturer claims that it can be used to treat many conditions such as toothache, poor circulation. Headache, neuralgia, neuritis, tonsillitis, catarrh, asthma, goiter, hoarseness, earache, lumbago, backache, dandruff, falling hair, paralysis, prostatitis, nervousness and sexual weakness. The Electraply is complete and comes in its original box with all attachments. And even the 16-page original instruction booklet. The booklet is terrific and enumerates all of the medical conditions that the generator will treat and most likely cure. The Electraply Generator works. Vintage Antique Phrenology Psychiatry Quack Medical Shock Device VERY RARE
Here is a VERY rare phrenology device. I have only seen one other one of these and it was in a museum. I have never seen one on eBay. You probably will never have an opportunity to purchase one of these again. It is totally complete except for the key(to lock the box) The batteries are original and quite rare themselves. The batteries have very little power left in them. So the device will not work with the original batteries hooked up. I did build a battery pack that would mimic the original batteries to see if the unit worked. It did. It operated flawlessly. You can see(and hear) a quick video of the unit generating high voltage by clicking. I will include the battery pack with this auction. The markings on the box are interesting"Schule Althabendorf.
