Old Antique 1931 ElecTreat Mechanical Heart electrical device battery Quacks med
Elec-treat Mechanical Heart Quack Medical device battery operated. Electric 1931. Comes with 3 instruction booklets. Spon ge with cord. The Elec-treat device, internal probe a nd the origina l box. The comb and other spon ge is missing. This 3 piece Quack electric medical device was supposed to be used to reli eve all kinds of ailments and pain. Headaches. Stiff joints. Skin, dandruff. Weak heart, and physical development, sexual"weakness, are all symptoms th at can be treated with this old school device. It does work. Batteries were installed and tested. Bu t be careful. As it can give you a jolt if you don't slowly raise the level of output. All pieces included are in good condition. The elec-treat is about 11" long by 1 3/4" circumference. The sponge is still attached. And the fiber wrapped cord isn't wripped or ... moretorn. The instruction bookle ts have some wear a few small tears. Permanent folds. And age discoloration. Vintage Electreat Mechanical Heart Quackery Medical Massager Pain Reliever
Very interesting piece of home medical equipment from the 1930s. According to the booklet. This machine can cure just about any ailment. It does work. It takes two flashlight batteries(not included) It gives off an electric shock. Comes with original box and all instructions and paper work. Comes with a pen like attachment, a sponge attachment, and a cord. I've seen a brush attachments with other sets, but am not sure this one came with the brush. DESCRIPTION: One original ELEC-TREAT MECHANICAL HEART in its original box. With booklet included. The box is in very good vintage condition, with some wear and small tears, writing still fully legible. The"mechanical heart" is in great shape, still very shiny. We opened the battery case and noticed no damage(due to oxidation) very clean. Included are"attaching cord" and"handle detachable" plus the instruction booklet. Booklet is also in very good shape, with only a few minor tears at the edges. Wonderful, fascinating item. Please refer to the appended images for more details. 19th century- mid to late 1800s.
