INITIAL 'M' EDWARDIAN SILVER & EBONY WOOD JEWELLERY LINED TRINKET BOX VANITY SET
Edwardian ebony wood jewellery/trinket box with silver'M' initial and its original satin lining. Measures 6.5 inches wide. 4 inches deep and 1.75 inches tall, it is stamped'REAL EBONY' to the base. The silver is not hallmarked but tests sterling quality, it is in pristine condition and has very decorative engravings. The ebony is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, nibbles or scratches, it has a highly polished patina that has developed over more than a century of love. The beige satin lining is original and despite a few worn patches it is in good condition for its age. If you have any questions please get in touch. In the past I have sourced collections. ANTIQUE HUMIDOR METAL LINED CIGAR BOX VERY HEAVY DARK WOOD BRASS INITIAL PLATE
OLD HEAVY WOOD CIGAR HUMIDOR COMPLETELY METAL LINED ANTIQUE WOOD CIGAR HUMIDOR Made from a heavy wood of a tight grain like mahogany. Bottom inset boards appear to be pine. The box is well-made and completely lined with a tin like metal. Held in place with tiny nails. These nails could be easily removed if you want to convert the box for another use by removing the linings. Two of the hinge screws do not look original. And one side at the hinge has a crack due to wrong size screw being used there. We have shown a close up of this. Crack does not show on outside of the box as this is very thick wood. MANY PHOTOGRAPHS BELOW OUR DESCRIPTION There is a lock. But not a key. Believe it takes a small skeleton type key. Brass initial plate on the lid is unmarked. The lid is slightly domed. The wood used is just under 1/2 inch thick, say 7/16" ... moreto be precise. The corners have little pegs to hold them perfectly.have forgotten what that joining method is called. This is period and original as it gets.Just out and estate sale, period camp,intact liner, with original leather pads, and the white cloth bags that are complete, just need to be refilled with material, one has a small hole in the leather but does not effect this item at all even the string to tie the tongs together is still with the helmet. This is a beautiful large 66 size Eisen& Thale, The camo has initial W A on the side,I'm not sure if this indicates a special unit or if this was the wearers initials,if anyone can help with info please do. The number 34800 in pencil twice inside the helmet.

About a year ago my grandmother died and we had to go through her house to divide everything. She had kept all of my grandfathers things and in them there was a box of cufflinks which no one knew what to do with so I asked if I could try to sell them on ebay. I liked the fact that there are so many different types and that they are jewelry made from many different metals. Plus easy to ship. These look sharp and would look great with many different colored coats plus you can have your initial s etched into it. I do combine shipping and get back to any question in a timely manner.
